I don't think you're following the logic. The point is, Holyfield lost to Bowe but that didn't mean he didn't belong at HW. Just like iF Usyk loses to Fury it doesn't mean he doesn't belong at HW either.

    This ^

Unfortunately this is the internet/comment culture we live in. Dickheads who for some reason get joy out of other's misery or hardship.

My point was that ( imho ) holyfield prooved with +35 hw fights against very hard opponents that he truly can cope with heavyweights , even when here and there he took a loss.

Usyk,s legacy in hw are 5 fights against 4 opponents and three of them were bums . If he now looses to a fury who struggled against ngannou he ( imho ) can go since his visit in hw was worth nothing .

Lets look what the future brings !

Here i agree with you . But nevertheless and if we are honest : comparing usyk with a legend like holyfield is an insult for holyfield in current state .

Usyk needs to go out and successfully fight zhang , wilder , hrgovic etc to proove himself in hw

Since I'm one of those devout Usyk fanboys you speak of.... one of the first and loudest on here, and I'm that certain my boy will come away with a win, yeah I am actually.

No metldown here, regardless who wins - assuming it comes to pass.

I've always thought Usyk gives Fury fits, in the same way I thought he would give AJ fits - and while it's come a bit late with both Fury and Usyk in obvious decline, if Fury wins, and doesn't look as slow and plodding and ordinary as I've always thought Usyk might make him look, then he will get full props from me - regardless of who I root for in a fight and my feelings on the opponent, I try to stay objective (see Fimo beating Taylor recently, was heavily rooting for Josh on that, and don't like Lopez and his pops at all but Teo boxed beautifully that night and deserved the props)

Rooting for Usyk all the way, but win, lose or draw I just hope to see a great contest, with both men coming in in the best shape and giving us one for the ages!

And I am not so sad that I tie my own happiness to the success or failure of men who I will never meet.

Honestly, describing what you feel after your boy loses as "misery" or "hardship" is laughable you big girls!

A bold psychology @CST80, let's see if it pays off.

Im no Fury fan but I think he will win, that Ngannou performance was awful but he will pick it up. Style wise I think he’s just wrong for Usyk and I still back him to beat anyone in the division when he’s on form.

As a Fan of both Fury & Usyk, I'm gonna be baiting the hell out of both sets of fans on Twitter/X regardless lol
