Parker had zero votes before I made that bold first step. :sisi1

    1. More active
    2. Less shot
    3. More versatile/less one-dimensional
    4. Less chinny

Now, admittedly there's a very real possibility he gets destroyed by a RH and winds up making this pick & post look foolish (just my luck that'll happen ). And there are intangible factors working against him as well: the kiwi has always been a very sort of consistently bland and one-gear fighter whereas Wilder will go all-out kamikaze to secure the KO. And there's a big edge in power for the American.

But then, I've never been high on Wilder as more than a one trick pony manufactured paper champ, nor believed in him deserving the pedestal he was put on, and Parker will be the rare opponent for him that meets all the following conditions: 1) a true super heavyweight, 2) not over the hill, and 3) not a feather-fist or glass cannon or mediocrely skilled. You can really only say all of that applied to Fury and look what happened there.

Upset's a real possibility here (wouldn't even consider it one myself, but realize most would and the bookmakers will set it up to be one).

    I agree with you, IB

I also think Parker has learned a lot from his bad experiences - and is determined to right the wrongs

This may be the most important fight of Parker's later career - and I bet he is treating it that way.

Parker by KO... Not points... A real KO stoppage.

Yep, the longer this goes the greater the statistical likelihood that Parker falls asleep at the wheel, makes mistakes, and gets taken out. He'll know this and he'll be going for Wilder's jugular. He isn't nearly as big a puncher, but big enough.

@miniq having a laugh voting for Wilder on points? You're on a farther out there limb than I was breaking the ice for JP. :sisi1

If the Tuscaloosa Haymaker Machine wins, it's by one method.

Sure - Wilder could win by KO

I just give Parker a 60 - 40 chance of being on the winning end

And it may even be higher than that

Parker's clearly better than anyone Wilder's beaten... And when active and full of confidence Wilder still struggled with worse fighters, Ortiz especially.

With Wilder's highly suspect chin and Parker's above average one, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Parker wins this - then again, you just never know and neither man is hard to hit.

If Parker was as vicious as wilder i would pick him in a heartbeat.
Unfortunately he is not an mentality is 80% of boxing.

Parker a big SHW? Thats debatable, he ate and pumped his way up but in reality hes probably 6'3(based on the faceoff) and 225 lean naturally. Hes not really known for using his strength and weight either, its not like we can expect to throw his weight at wilder the way he needs to, to make it count. If he tries to outbox him, his weight will hurt him.

I agree with the rest and i like Parker but unless wilder is truly shot its a tough night for Joe

I don't think Parker can go 12 without getting caught by a massive RH. So I still have to pick Wilder solely because of this, even though IB's points are all valid and good ... if Parker can avoid the RH.
