I think if it was Joshua Vs Wilder or Fury Vs Joshua there would be even more hype but hey I’m not complaining about this one. I’d say this will definitely have to crack the top three biggest fights ever.

    Top 3 biggest ever?
    No chance.
    Ali v Frazier
    Ali v Foreman
    Floyd v manny.

There are many more but there's 3 that actually destroy it

Not as big as it was before Fury embarrassed himself against Ngannou

I would switch Floyd v Manny for either:
    Hagler v Hearns
    SRL v Duran

Yeah so would I but Floyd v Manny was a huge event. a few years to late and although it never lived up to exoections, everyone had an opinion on it. Guts and many girls at work who have zero interest in boxing showed interest.

It was far from a great fight, but it was BIG

Let’s put it this way Usyk and Fury and much near their primes than Tyson was when he fought Lennox.

    This.
To be honest, this all feels a good year past its sell by date, and very flat after the Ngannou fight.

Still, I'm looking forward to the fight because we get to see two of the best heavyweights go at it, but I was way more hyped for Klitschko v Fury, Wilder v Fury 1, and Wilder v Fury 2. And that's just Fury's resume.

This doesn't feel like the same fight we all wanted in 2022.

Fury is performing and acting like a shot fighter. His coked up antics at the face off seemed like a man overcompensating. And if the plan (as many suspect) was to age out Usyk, it might have backfired horribly.

In terms of heavyweight championship history, I'd say it's arguably the most historically significant bout since Mike Tyson vs Michael Spinks.

    On a related note...

Pretty big fight and very significant for today. In regards to all time? I suppose top ten-ish.

It could be among the top three ever among fights contested by boxers who weren't from the U.S.

What was the biggest fight in history where neither fighter was from the U.S.?

Was Joshua-Wlad or Fury-Wlad a bigger fight? I know they sold a lot of tickets. So did Fury-Chisora. So did Lewis-Bruno. Lewis-Vitali was big, even though it was on short notice.

Is Fury-Usyk bigger than those? I agree with the poster who said some of the shine has come off this, due to the delays and because of BOTH boxers' last fights.

But glad its finally happening relatively soon.

It’s still significant but a lot of the lustre has worn off. It’s a couple years overdue and Fury’s stock has fallen so far down.

AJ Wilder is bigger in terms of draw
