(If this has been posted already, please delete..) Takes out another 2 top fighters like Wilder, Zhang, Hrgovic, does he crack the Top 10 ATG at HW and retired undefeated, CW, HW champ? I don't know on this one so I'm seriously asking Cheers!
Usyk is obviously a great fighter and head to head he would be a challenge for anyone. I put him in in the top 15 because, even with a win over Usyk and two contenders he just hasn't fought enough at heavyweight to crack the top 10.
If he really gets undisputed and then clears the division of the most dangerous opponents like wilder , zhang etc he easily enters top 10 atg and he would deserve it . He would be the second after holyfield to reach and the first to retire from such a legacy undefeated .
Top 10 at Heavyweight specifically is a stretch, he wouldn't have the depth for it, he would only have a mere 5 ranked fighters on his HW resume, in a historically subpar era. Almost all ATG top 10 worthy Heavies also just straight up have beaten overall better, or as equally good opponents as Fury and AJ, and if they don't, they make up for it with depth. He could make a case for top 20, however. He would be the best of his era bar none though, both Pound for Pound and at Heavyweight.
I don’t think so, no. His resume simply can’t be deep enough as he only stepped up to the heavies at 32. Strangely enough, while he wouldn’t crack the top 10 HWs he would make my top 10 ATG of the sport however when looking at his combined resume at CW and HW plus his Olympic gold medal.
Think he is the top CW of all time, but he couldn't make the top 10 HW due to lack of time and opponents
Unless you are actually considering who you would be putting Usyk ahead of, this is just a numbers guessing game.
For me yes, but I am ok with lower AT HEAVY BUT A TOP GUY PFP, or an asterix by the ranking. -He will be the undefeated, first unified champ of the four-belt era. BUT... -A lot of his legacy will be at cruiser. BUT... -With the 200 limit and rehydration clauses, today's cruisers are actually massive heavies by yesterday's standards. But... -He is small by today's standards. But... - Same height and reach as Ali, and fights heavier at heavyweight. But... And on, and on, and on. Make of it what you will.
I would have to make the list out to so who he might edge out of top 10. I think most people have Wlad in top 10. People that must be in to 10.. Ali Foreman Marciano Frazier Lewis Louis That's 6...... Rest are really fair game.
Don't start with that. He's not 38 or something. It'll be Fury's fault he comes in at 300 lbs and trained on pies and pints
