Ali was able to KO prime George Foreman who had a granite chin

Do you think he had better power than Tyson?

Tyson also knocked out Holmes, the only time in Holmes' career that he lost by knockout. Allegedly, before the fight, Ali told Tyson: "Avenge me."

A lot of members had complaints that I didn't put this or that boxer on the list. But nobody really said: "Why didn't you put Mohammad Ali on the list?".

I've never seen Tyson do the Fitz shift and throw the right hook to the body and right uppercut like Ali - ever!

Such a shame that he had to agree to stop using the combo in order to return from exile.

Foreman was death tired and this also effects the chin. He would never have done the same mistake again and at 100% Ali would never be able to drop him.

And dont forget Ali hit him with multiple shots, not with one shot.

We have at least the account from Chuvalo who said Foreman and Frazier both hit harder then Ali. And i doubt Tyson had a weaker punch as Joe did.

Ali had underrated power. His shots were fast and precise. But no way he hit harder than Mike, but saying that I can see Ali stopping Tillis, Green, Smith, and Ruddock. Perhaps not Tucker. Styles and all. As one poster said Ali got the ko against Foreman because George was, in his own words spent, if Tyson tried to ko George i can imagine George completely overwhelming him.

I am not taking anything away from Ali, he was very plausibly the greatest heavyweight of all time.

However in terms of raw power, Mike Tyson unequivocally hit harder, and it isn't particularly close.
