I think Zhang would do great against come forward fighters with no defense like Kownacki, Miller, Joyce etc. But how does he do against a prime Povektin, Takam and Jennings? I could see Jennings style giving him absolute fits and Zhang being drowned in the second half.

LOL Jennings. Zhang probably claps him the quickest.

I can only see Povetkin making it difficult for him, but Zhang would also knock him out, I don't like the others' chances...

If only boxing had some structure ... where Zhang was fighting this opposition instead of messing around for years on end.

    Povetkin on Peds beats him.

Prime Povetkin ices him, quicker, more skilled and would find the gaps.

They’re all on PED’s, every single one of them, I don’t dislike fighters for taking them, it’s what you’ve gotta do to make it at the top level, it’s on the commissions, not the fighters.

I like Takam and his willingness to get in there and fight. He also has given plenty of top heavyweights difficult nights even in defeat. He probably gets stopped after boxing well early

Jennings is tough but limited, I think he would get Ortiz'd

Povetkin was a top heavyweight for a long time despite never winning a real world title but he had a good work rate and punching power. He did not have the best defense and I also felt his punch resistance was hit and miss. He marked up vs Chambers, got rocked vs Huck, hurt by Chagaev at one point, and rocked by Hunter. I think Zhang could absolutely win a stoppage here given his quick and accurate punching. Still slightly favor Povetkin

He got caught 3 times using banned substances though. Whilst I'm not naive enough to think boxers don't take PEDs. We don't have evidence of it regarding other boxers in this thread whilst we do with Povtekin.

I'd actually pay to see him beat the crap out of Miller

Povetkin KOs Zhang inside 4 brutal rounds. Zhang beats Miller and Jennings. Zhang is a big southpaw, like Luis Ortiz was. Ortiz grinded Jennings down. Zhang does the same. So 2-1 for me

He was caught twice, and the first of those times was for a PED that was legal until a few weeks before he was busted.

Meldonium iirc and like you say the test wasn’t a fail as he had trace elements from using it when the substance was legal, think it was a popular Tennis substance at one time .

If you can't beat Jennings, you don't deserve a title fight. He is that line you need to cross and everyone serious about that sport will do it with ease. If you can't beat him, go home and be a family man.
