I have a feeling Andrade will school Benavidez

I wouldn't bet on your feeling.....

 

Maybe for a few rounds but think Benavidez will catch up to him eventually.

 

At least for the first quarter of the fight I'd say.

It's possible especially with David having slow feet but another thing going against him is Benavidez being larger than him & Andrade going up in weight.

 

Benavides has fast hands and that changes the game for range type fighters.
Andrade will have to try and blitz him in the first few rounds and MAKE Benavides respect him.

 

Quick question? Is Andrade that much better than Dirrell at 168lbs? Can Andrade defeat Plant at 168lbs? I think the fight will kind of be like those two.

 

Andrade is a horrible fighter

 

With all due respect I see nothing Andrade does as being able to hold off Benavidez. Andrade gets tagged by lesser fighters and he likes to lead with a jab or straight left before resetting and repeating or moving. He's not really counter punching and I personally believe that is vital to be Benavidez.

Andrade isnt the fastest, have the most pop, or slickest of defense. He's 35 years old fighting a taller, longer, heavier, and younger but not green opponent.

Andrade surviving 12 rounds would be impressive. Andrade outright winning would be perplexing. And that's not because I rate Benavidez highly...he's a decent fighter whose got a lot of belief in his attrition but there's a lot of holes in his game. I just dont think Andrade has the size, youth, or style to bear Benavidez. Not to mention Benavidez just fought and dominated Plant whose got a somewhat similar style to Andrade in that they have low ouput, potshot, movers, and defensively responsible.

 

Not horrible lol but I genuinely dont see what others do. There's a reason he's fought D and C level opponents his entire career.

Andrade is not as slick as he thinks he is. He's there to be countered and that will be a big problem with David's fast combos. Clinching ( and that particular ref ) is what saved Plant from being stopped , not sure Boo Boo will be as lucky.

 

Lets Hope not, Canelo will never fight Andrade I suspect. So if he wins it wont do much for the division
