I think Rivera edged it, but it was more like a MD type decision. If Lipinets was in better shape, he could have beaten Rivera tonight, alas **** happens.

Sadly, I will have to leave you guys for the main card, due to work tomorrow (Texas Rangers don't rest even on Sundays!). Hope you all enjoy ze fights! :chuck:

The youtube fights for Showtime this year were absolutely great. Good matchups which were 50/50, exciting and the regular upset here and there.

Only caught the last two rounds but I could immediately detect the commentator's bias. Rivera was running like a gazelle and then he'd fire off a couple of shots and then immediately get on his bike again and they were gushing over it like they do across the pond.

they called a pretty fair fight i thought

gave credit to both guys even said there was a chance for 4 or 5 rounds to lipinets and would point out the rounds he was winning. clearly when rivera moved and boxed he won easily but when he stood and traded it became a closer more difficult fight

Like I said, I only caught the last two rounds and I did immediately detect the bias and them gushing over a style which doesn't align with my British warrior genetics and warrior code.

That might have been different in the rounds I didn't see but I'ma gonna act like they didn't because I have an agenda to push and I like to find a reason to moan.

 I lie a lot but I deserve a free pass for it because I'm honest enough to admit it

The fact that Vicente vs. Yaqubov, one of the most competitive matches on the card, wasn't even on the Prelims, is an abomination.:ohno

Not like they were short on time either. I've been sitting here for the last hour expecting another fight to come on, but it's just been these two talking. Not that I've minded it necessarily, it's been a decent discussion compared to what I'm used to, but having an hour of this instead of fights when there are plenty to pick from is certainly an odd choice.
