Jose is a D level fighter and if Charlo can't stop him it speaks volumes about him.

 

I'm surprised that Charlo is backing up so much. He should be standing his ground or imposing his will.

He's bigger, faster and stronger. So why is he backing up so much? Ring rust?

 

2-0 Charlo. He’s sparring out there. Size difference is ridic. Which is of course why he chose this opponent.

 

No chance. Even when active, Ergashev has a long history of getting tired by the 5th dropping his hands and stops moving around the ring. He never learned to change his style. Matias style is all wrong for him because Matias workrate only increases. Matias is a very throwback fighter and he sinks his opponents. It was never close to begin with. Matias used rd 1 and 2 just to read and time. He did what he wanted with Ergashev who had enough time to train for this fight and it's only his fault he chose to be inactive and pushed towards retirement which makes sense. He's not a top 140 guy for a reason. Matias owns.

I was initially very disappointed but Jose is showing some heart in there, he might fulfil my wishes. Fingers crossed.
