I didn't see Charlo tonight IMO that would be a fun Fight. Andrade if you look at fight film of him when he was in his mid twenties vs now was a different fighter. He's more fighting to conserve energy now. His best performance in his twenties was a draw with Vanes Martyrosian (a guy who got blown out by by Golovkin in 2 rounds shortly afterwards). So if we're being honest he's never been a world class guy. He can't do deffence and offence at the same time and he has "athletic guy syndrome". i.e. he uses a lot of athletic moves without real though as to how to string them together into hurtful, professional level boxing sequences. You have to work hard to convince me that in his mid 30s at 168lb Andrade is a threat to anyone of significance.
Ya it was a good fight. And for 2.5 rounds I was wondering which way was it going to go. Styles and skills aside though you've got a 154 lber in his mid 30s who had to stick and move, crouch low and wrestle with the biggest youngest top level fighter in the division. It was never going to be an easy night for Andrade just based on that. I agree he had a good performance. He clearly came in prepared. But the flaws are there for Andrade and have been visible for some time. Charlo has many issues himself so I do agree levels wise it would be a good fight. I would favor Charlo if he can get himself in proper shape though.
