Edit - after reflection, this thread is disrespectful to these fighters and is not a fair assessment of either of them.

David Price had the worst chin of the lot. A lack of punch resistance was one of the deciding factors in such a big punching HW never making it past British level. The Teper fight was a good example of just how poor it was, a grazing shot which most HW's would have just taken without even blinking put the poor lad out cold.

Khan has the best chin of the lot, he took shots off world class Maidana and was a world champion. He made millions from boxing against some of the biggest names. So his career was a success and his chin did not stop him.

Then we have Audley whose biggest weakness wasnt his chin. It was fear of getting hit and his dislike of being in a fight. He could take a punch, he just did not like to. The whole issue with him not throwing because of the fear of being hit was his biggest weakness and stopped him going beyond British level.

I think that's fair - Khan's problem wasn't so much his chin as his unpredictability. He could go toe-to-toe with big names (he was doing fine against Canelo until that punch) and yet he was seeing double against Prescott inside a minute.

If his chin was that bad Brook would have proved it, Khan was at least stopped on his feet.

Excellent points. You won't get that level of analysis on DAZN, Sky or TNT.

Khan's chin was decent during the Ariza shakes + Roach era.

That's when he was actually dedicated to the sport.

He was too dumb to realise that someone with a bad chin has to be training and living the lifestyle year round to compensate. So the degenerate lifestyle ended up hitting him hard.

I would have initially said Khan but you make excellent points. He certainly was the best fighter of the lot, and his performance against Maidana was exceptional. I’d agree with you on Price, he had absolutely 0 durability although I don’t think Harrison had much either.

Errol Christie chin let him down. Won so many titles as an amateur but couldn´t win one as a pro. His brother on the other hand won a Lonsdale belt outright with half the talent.

You've got to base this on level of opponents. Khan was getting chinned at world level, Price was getting chinned by fringe guys. Audley was just a **** bag.

What are you talking about. Khan was getting chinned and dropped to all levels of opponents of all different KO ratios. Breidis Prescott was a journeyman. Willie Limond & Craig Watson domestic level, and so on.

Whereas Price and Harrison was getting dropped by big punching huge heavyweights,

When we talk about combined knockdowns Khan definitely hit the canvas the most out of the three. He has the worst for sure.

Khan's chin was far from great. But alot of the shots he got in trouble with were mainly ones where his defence and lack of it got him in trouble the amount of times he got hit with shots while exchangin with his chin in the air was far too many.

Price obviously had a bad chin but I always thought his stamina was his biggest problem

Garcia got khan on the neck rather than the chin I remember.

I would say Khan had the best chin due to his brave effort vs a big puncher in Maidana going 12 rounds taking big punches. Prescott had a 100 percent KO record when he blew away Khan, Garcia is world class, and Canelo fight was at Middleweight.

Price was stopped by some pretty ordinary fighters i mean Hammer ? Teper ? Kuzmin ?

And Harrison's chin whilst not being good was more that he was afraid to get down in the trenches and have a proper scrap.

    So my rating would be......

    1 Khan
    2 Harrison
    3 Price

I tend to agree with this take although I think Khan’s chin is one of the weakest I’ve seen. He reached a far higher level than the other guys and actually managed to beat Maidana in an excellent performance. Price and Harrison never got past domestic level.
