Casual sports fans severely under rate him

Boxing fans who actually understand what's going on seem to rate him highly. An all time great but not the best ever

    The Best Ever.

90's, 2000's, 2010's, kicked ass in all those decades. Against the best. No one is even close to his level.

    Good on him.

Floyd is a very good boxer who went from PBF to Money around the time he owned A-side status after his fight with old Oscar. He jumped straight over 140 when Tszyu and Cotto were at their best. Thr fact he never fought Paul Williams is a perfect example of his ducking.

Noone knows how good he may have been but he is nowhere near top 10 ever.

You still sucking that Mayweather teet? Not my fault it's an apt analogy. Then again, maybe you think Ellerbe is some great and knowledgeable poster. Can't say it would surprise me. But who cares...

And this is supposed to be an insult? You weren't born when Hears v Leonard 2 occurred, so you don't get the context. News flash, the boxing world was MUCH different then. Big fights weren't as accessible back in the 80s. Hell, you asked if I streamed a fight when they were STILL cable PPVs.

No need for you to explain yourself, sir! I now understand that people bought Floyd/Canelo -at record levels- because they didn't want to see it.

    "Quantum Physics"

Of course people wanted to see it. Is this supposed to be a HUGE revelation?? :buenrollo: GO back to posting as Ellerbe, or whatever. You're just trolling for attention.

In terms of the business side of the sport, he is the best ever. He is no doubt ne of the best boxers of the last 25-30 years.

All depends on how you rate him.

    Absolute best ever?
    Unlikely.

In the discussion and certainly amongst the pantheon of all time greats.
    Certainly.

Knowledgable fans know he fought Barrera huh?

Also Hatton spent most of their careers fighting in a division ABOVE Mayweather.

    Hahah, no mate...I didnt.

Hatton never fought below 140, and Floyd fought the majority of his career at 130/135.

Hatton would have outweighed Floyd in the ring.

Yet he demands Inoue to come fight in the US even though Inoue already fought there 3X & once in UK, that's 4 more times than Floyd ever did what he was demanding of Inoue (leaving home advantage). All his big fights were also in Vegas
