Which elite heavyweight in history would lose against Mike Tyson if both of them fought in their prime?

    At a guess Larry Holmes.

He'd have some sort of chance in a shootout with Joe Louis.

    Quite a few :
    Marciano
    Dempsey
    Holmes
    Lewis
    The Kleichkos
    Louis
    Fury
Wilder ( He'd beat him until about 2001)
    Johnson
    Witherspoon
    Page
    Dokes
    Schmeling
    Sharkey
    Walcott
    Charles
    Norton
Prime Tyson beat most of the heavyweight champs in history.
Only 3-6 I'd pick against him.
Some of the fighters above would have a decent chance. But I'd still pick Tyson against them for various reasons.

If Tyson is fighting his opponents while they are also in their primes my list of people he wouldn't beat would look this way.

Muhammad Ali, Larry Holmes and Lennox Lewis.

He would struggle with W. Klitschko and V. Klitschko.

So, for me, the best he would beat is my #2 heavyweight, Joe Louis.

Tyson at his best could hypothetically defeat any heavyweight champion in history. Would he? I don't know.

1987 Tyson vs 1996 Tyson would be a fight to see considering they were both in their prime.

I know we all hate Wilder, but Tyson at any point beyond his return in '99 when he was struggling with the likes of Botha, would've just about had his head taken off by Wilder.

Louis, and Marciano are my respective 2 and 3, and I'd favor Tyson over both.

Possibly 1987 Tyson would be favored but my money would be on 1996 Tyson.
