Usyk has had five fights at Heavy, is featherfisted and out of the five three are local clubfigthers who took rounds of him and hit him clean.

Usyk is not some kind of defense wizzard, he gets hit.....a lot.

That leaves us with the stiff Bodybuilder who quit against a morbid obese Burrito................Usyk went 24 with AJ vs the Burrito who flat out stopped him.

The crazy President would not go 24 with AJ, he would stop him in their first fight, nobody would put a nickel on the Bodybuilder if you are a betting man.

Derailing the undefeated highly rated One trick Pony Tua while throwing a record of punches and making ther undefeated Byrd literally drool trumps everything Usyk has done at Heavy.

It is a almost unknown fact that Ike already went off the rails before Byrd and barely trained, roughly two to three weeks and still put the beating of a lifetime on Byrd.

If on form the crazy President will stop Usyk.

Has he ever even been knocked down in the pro ring? How tough do you want him to be, exactly? He's gone 24 rounds with AJ who is a much better and bigger fighter than Ike and came out just fine the other end.

Good post. We don't have a lot to go on but we do have the Byrd fight which is important. Ike showed good patience and tenacity against Byrd and when his chance came boy did he take it. He had far less trouble against him than Vitali did 13 months later and he lasted the distance against Wlad straight after that. Usyk couldn't hurt him in a month of Sundays so he's there all night and he's not going to gas. I most certainly wouldn't be counting Ike out here.

Ibeabuchi never got knocked down. Never lost either. I made this thread exatcly because that´s where Usyk belongs so far, Ibeabuchi had 20 fights, Usyk has 21... let's see how it goes from now on.
Hey, word to the wise, never rate too much a guy that is still active... there is a lot to happen still, I mean, look at Tyson Fury, suddenly he is out of all the ATG discussions... it was not like that before Ngannou.

I like Usyk, but he is very overrated around here, along with (some) of the eastern europeans because they look the part.

Ike fought exactly 2 (two) good guys. Usyk has an entire resume of dudes that were dangerous. There's no comparison.

It depends entirely on how Fury comes in. If he comes in at his best form I favour him, slightly. If he comes in looking like he escaped from Sea World, Usyk is going to murder him. I wouldn't bet on the fight unless you can get a good idea of what Fury's form is.

Usyk is getting beaten. Fury will pressure him, and smother him, and he won't know what to do. Ngannou fight is 100% different.
    We will see.
Let's see, it kinda brings me back to the feelings I had on Kovalev. People threw everything but the kitchen sink at me when I said Kovalev was getting super overrated when he was coming up (Usyk is 10 times the fighter Kovalev was though but hey both koed Cleverly)
All this in my humble opinion.

It is telling that both of Ike's major wins are small compared to the 6'3" Usyk, and diminutive compared to Usyk's best win in Joshua. The irony here being that the great cruiser is by far the more proven heavy.

Another vote for Usyk. It is a footwork and angles fight.

He'll turn him all night and use his jab to stifle the Ike charges. This is a bout where a stiff jab is not necessary, just a bothersome one to prevent the other guy from getting set. The other thing I like w/ Usyk is his championship pedigree--he'll draw on it to pull out a decision here.

Not sure why you think the fight against Dubois would make you suspicious of Usyk’s durability.

Dubois landed multiple low blows throughout the fight and Usyk only went down from the most obvious and flagrant low blow of the lot.

It’s a cut and dried fact. Despite same, no other issues for Usyk and he went on stop Dubois.
