Some of the best upsets in boxing, has always been when an old champion beats that young lion. Which one was the most impressive though. I would have included Haney vs Loma, but that checks out

    Duran vs Barkley

Floyd vs Canelo wasn't an upset.

Ali vs. Foreman. Foreman was the most destructive fighter ever (thought to be) and had destroyed the two men that gave Ali hell like it was nothing (one of those men as Ali was in the crowd). So many thought Ali was gonna be killed in the ring by Foreman

Ali's win was so huge God actually shed tears and opened up the sky with a downpour

These are all some of the best victories in the history of boxing I voted for Ali beating Foreman because I felt that foreman was the best fighter on the list of losers. That said Ali was closer to his prime than some of the other Fighters who scored victories albeit vs lesser fighters than foreman

Yeahh that was probably Ali in the best shape in his career post exile. That and during the Norton and Frazier rematches

Duran v Barclay is my favourite fight of all time, but in terms of world impact nothing compares to Ali v Foreman

Just rewatched Rumble in the Jungle. Yep, gonna roll with Ali vs Foreman. I'm not sure anyone has ever taken that many hits from Foreman and survived to tell the story. Most boxers wouldn't have a body left if they allowed Foreman to land on the ribs like Ali did.

Duran Barkley. A 38 year old past his prime gives one final encore against the man that beat the crap out of Thomas Hearns twice. A performance for the ages.

Foreman vs Moorer is the clear winner if you go by “Old fighter beats the young fighter” criteria. Hopkins beating Pavlik like he did was also impressive and Pac beating Thurman was very satisfying.

Ali vs Foreman was not an old fighter against a young.

It’s a great win but Ali was only 32 yrs old, older than 25yr old Foreman but I still wouldn’t call him old.

Ali wasn't at his peak anymore though. Like compared to the other guys, aside from George, Ali was probably the one most affected by the inactivity due to the layoff.

Lewis was a huge favourite to beat Vitali - 5 to 1 actually
