    It will tell us alot about him for sure if he can beat Fury and maybe sneak in one more fight against a top 10 opponent maybe Zhang or Hrgovic.

    Ike would miss him so many times he would gas out early and would be frustatred too.

    Usyk largely for decision

    Ike rarely missed my friend but even so he was still really a newcomer. No one knew him, outside of Texas, surprised em didn't he lol Plus Ikes gas tank was good his conditioning wasamazing

    Usyk managed to make Joshua gas out whose stamina are still good on 10 rounds. He would confuse even Ike imo.
    You are underrating a little bit Usyk imo.

    Almost 100 posts. This thread delivered nicely.

    It is a nice matchup, like it or not Usyk attorneys;

    Today, Usyk would give him a boxing lesson and it would look like the Bellew fight. But if Ike from the 90's fought the Usyk that fought Fury, that could be interesting

    I think the best Usyk beats the best Ike quite comfortably. People talk about overrated on this forum often, and whilst I actually think Usyk at heavyweight IS a little overrated, Ike is the myth that keeps giving. His war with Tua was epic but, and I gotta say this, that is not a barometer to judge a fighter by. Tua was not an elite fighter. Big power, but a level below Usyk for me, at least. Usyk would make Ike look clumsy and win a clear decision for me.

    Ike gets a lot of credit on this forum for beating up smaller guys (Tua, Byrd) and looking the part of a HW. Usyk dominates in a UD.

    I thought Tua won that fight but it was close enough it wasn't worth arguing over. Usyk is different gravy to Tua though.

    Since this post Usyk beat Fury twice and dominated n stopped DD.

    I think its clear that Ive always underestimated Usyk.

    I admit I was wrong, will eat my crow, and I change my view and I think Usyk has the skills and stamina, movement and ring generalship to beat Ike.

    that's very commendable.

    While i still pick Usyk, i do think Ike is a tough match up. Ike was able to take hard left hooks from Tua and still keep marching forward. While Tua does not have a fraction of the skills of Usyk, he is a bigger puncher.

    The question is whether Usyk would sufficiently hurt Ike to deter him from coming forward.

    I do think Usyk can win a decision but i suspect he will have to box very carefully and keep his distance and not get into any exchanges.
