A simplistic view on things, but bear with me.

Both fighters who hit decent heights, enjoyed a big following and made a few quid from the sport. However, both have now fallen and suffered back to back defeats. I know their is talk of Warrington fighting Wood at the city ground, but I hope this doesn't happen, he really doesn't deserve another shot at a title coming off 2 straight defeats (and I say that as a Warrington fan). Conlon looks all but done now, fair play to Gill, but that is a shocking loss for Conlon if he is to be classed as anywhere near top level.

So what next for both? I think this fight makes sense, at this stage of the career I don't see the appetite for either to take a low level fight. This would sell out Belfast / Leeds with the 2 fanbases and be a decent headline, maybe the winner stays on for one more. Josh always talks of giving the leeds following an away day, it might not be Vegas but I bet Belfast for that fight night would be a cracking weekend away

Leeds fans in Belfast, what could possibly go wrong?

They wouldn't need an undercard, they could just film live scenes in the pubs for their 'before the bell' action

Thought this fight should have been the one that happened a fight ago but Warrington got an undeserved title shot.

Hmmm, have to disagree. Thankfully football hooliganism on the whole is a thing of the past - its generally just teenagers running their mouths these days. But in 25+ years of watching my team home & away only 3 sets of fans have genuinely worried me for trouble, intimidation and a seemingly complete disregard for the consequences of their actions. Leeds, Millwall & Cardiff.

Based on both their last performances, Warrington by highlight reel stoppage

Always thought Leeds just give it the big ‘un and then cry about it when it comes unstuck.

Cardiff at Ninian was some day out according to my old man.

Wood doesn't have a title for them to fight for. Apart from that, it would be a money fight for both lads. Would be a big crowd too.
U would expect the loser to call it a day tho.
    Think most would pick Josh.

I think Warrington would flatten him. Conlan can’t hold a shot and stays hit each time he’s gets caught… he should look to call it a day before he does himself damage.

The only reason Conlon would fight again, is simply for a payday.

Because in all honesty, he's not winning a world title, simple as that.

Health wise, if i was advising him. I'd tell him to call it a day....

But we've no idea how much, or how little he's made in his career, I've a feeling he hasn't made that much actually, so dare I say. A cash out fight against Warrington wouldn't be the worst idea..... Economically that is.

Agree - and it would have the side-effect of Warrington claiming he's top-drawer again and deserving of another title shot, trip to Vegas, etc. Nobody needs that again. Even the Leeds fans must see through this cycle by now?

Yes Warrington stops him emphatically. As you say, the lad stays hit such is his poor punch resistance. Despite having some of the fundamentals he lacks the two key attributes: punching power and ability to take a punch.
