You know something when people mention it in conversation so easily I do find myself skeptical that they might be exaggerating or just plain making it up (Meghan Markle speaking to Oprah Winfrey!) but he had had a pretty rough time of it in and out of boxing so I'll give him benefit of the doubt.

 

McKenna announced his retirement on Instagram. Good move. Was never really a fan but cannot deny the minerals on the guy

Personally I find jamie conlon to be one of the smuggest people in the sport so glad to see him silenced.

 

I wouldnt be as visceral as you about Conlon. And judging by your pervious comments of "fenian twat", I'm guessing you're staunchly on the opposite side of the wall to Conlon.

But I will agree with you that his entrances, and generally his marketing has been far too one sided.....

I'm from Dublin, and wouldn't dare go to one of his fights, and it's for that one reason. Totally and utterly uninclusive. Not for me

I hope that crocker lad doesn't mate the same mistake as Conlon in that department.

In 2023, there's no need to alienate half of your city anymore.
