He looked good. People love to hate on him because, well, he’s a really talented, good looking, and popular guy who gets by on these things a bit more than we like to see.. Getting stopped by Tank doesn’t make a fighter suck, and in spite of his lacking in some areas - this guy is our her making fights happen and chasing challenges….. wish all of them did that.

His offense and feet looked good as expected, and even improved a bit, although he still got a bit too open at times, and a better fighter would be able to capitalize.

His defense is still lackluster if you get past his offense and feet - which most fighters won’t be able to do. He did a good job of sticking to his game plan and controlling distance and using his jab.

Overall - he’s still an underdog, albeit a live one against any of the top guys, but is showing improvement.. Id like to see him have another fight or two at this level before stepping up against Haney, Teo, or Tank, etc.. His defense really does need some work even at a fundamental level.

Even if he didn’t improve at all, he’s one of the most offensively gifted fighters in the division, and you can never count someone like that out.

 

Got done watching late & per usual the so called confident underdog had his moments & spaces where he could have did a lot more but he just kept following him around & letting rounds go by, not very entertaining either, decent showing from Ryan but man does he need a lot of work going forward, i would advise him to stick to this minus level before stepping up again.

 

Sad i know.

 

Yeah those three on the booth were enough, like they really needed to add Porter of all people, what a ruin, Porter is in running to be the next Bradley on commentary.

 

Ryan's fights are starting to give me those Amir Khan types of feelings with his feet being wide apart, chin doesn't seem sturdy & at any moments notice anyone can have their moment with him, quite a parallel.

 

That & both Sergio & Porter engagingly admitting that they both were dirty fighters, what a night!

 

Oh Man....i know i know that.....Man..you fight with nobody............turned him into a horrible fighter

Ok thought I as losing it there for a minute
