I've noticed John Fury is gobbing off a lot recently regarding Tyson's condition (or lack thereof) for the Usyk showdown Some people have suggested it's just a smokescreen tactic from the Fury camp, which is certainly possible, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't go a little deeper than that... Notice how John was absent from the Fury-Usyk presser? Despite being all over the Tommy Fury stuff or the Ngannou fight or even the Whyte/Chisora fights? I guarantee you someone behind the scenes, be it Frank or the Saudis or Shane or even Tyson himself is keeping John shut out of this. Whether it's because he's a distraction for Tyson or just a flat-out clown that isn't suitable for this stage, idk. What do I know however is that if this were the case, he'd be pretty fuming about it, living through his sons's achievements and needing to be front-and-centre of everything Hence all of the off comments he's making about Tyson
Good, Fury's last great performance was wilder 2 when his brother was in charge and he was no where in sight cus he couldn't get into America.
Shane said he's taking over this time and making sure things are done right for this camp , like he did for Wilder 2.
You think Big Shane can pull rank on the maniac Dad? I've heard Big Shane on the phone to Mickey Theo threatening to turn up at his car wash mob handed on tuesday at 10am, Shane seemed pretty calm but the Dad was ranting away like a lunatic in the background. Mickey got his boys together for tuesday at 10am, needless to say the nutcase Dad SHAT IT and no showed.
Summed up my reply before I even wrote it. Who's the other guy with the beard who usually follows directly behind Tyson and next to Shane? He seemed to be the security at the Usyk presser and looks frigging scary.
John's hopefully found his place mouthing off and embarrassing himself on Misfits cards and is leaving the big Tyson fights to Shane, Hughie etc The Usyk/Fury build up could be a real game of chess in terms of Usyk engaging and whether Tyson will even try to continue the war of words if it's having very little effect. The last thing anyone wants in the middle of all that is John Fury mouthing off, taking his shirt off and causing embarrassment to everyone involved. He may be Tyson's dad but when the Undisputed Heavyweight champion will be crowned from this fight, he has no place in turning it into a circus.
If it is a smokescreen, it won’t make a jot of difference. Usyk s coming prepared come what may. This is a huge test for Fury and we’ll see just how good he is against a very special boxer. Fury’s opponents thus far have not been anywhere near the level of Usyk. Interesting match up.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Saudis haven't pulled rank. The lack of restraint and Dignity displayed the silly fool risks tarnishing their product.
He's an over-emotional buffoon. He was quite funny at first but I think everybody has lost all respect for the guy. He's an idiot.
I think his ridiculous circus act, of yelling, "being held back" (yeah right) and general air of buffoonery would look totally inappropriate against a calm and respectful Usyk. At a daft Misfits thing with Tommy Fumbles it is probably par for the course, and expected by that particular demographic. As someone has pointed out, I'm not sure the Saudis would appreciate such cartoonish behaviour
Didn't Micky Theo no show at that boxing gym where John wanted to have a straightener with him but Theo wanted to get paid, do it in an arena, have it televised and all that bollocks lol......... not even worth discussing. If Shane oversaw everything in the Wilder rematch and given that he seems to be one of the very few that can tell Tyson exactly how it is, I'd expect he'll be fine on this one.
Daddy Fury is cringe as hell but “he’ll bend her over and do her like a dog” will always be legendary. The man makes Alan Partridge and David Brent cringe for him.
