Cannot stand Barker on commentary. Sounds so forced.

Gonna cut Beale some slack, he posts decent stuff and everyone has the odd wobble. Religion is a weird subject that's best left alone though. On proud Brits I will say this, Joe Calzaghe was Welsh and Italian, not British, he wore the colours of Wales and Italy, he was "The Italian Dragon, "The Prince Of Wales", proud of the country that made him.

I didn't either. And his name didn't suggest he was a "'Celtic man". Not that that means too much.

Good points and id be willing to bet that Crocker doesn't, although I suspect he wont go as far as Conlan did. Watched on TV but I didn't recognise any of the ring walk "music". Except it sounded ****. And I like Irish music. The only thing I heard was a fat rapper telling us he was born in Belfast. Of course he was. Im not that deaf.
Anyway, congrats to Gill. I never thought he'd do it but was glad when he did.

Its not that the IRA did good things and didnt do bad things, but i dont understand how anyone cant see an irish persons view on them, the troubles and the british, as if we havent ****ed them. But then again i dont understand being up the royal families arse, a bunch of elitisits who dont give a **** about us peasents who we have to bow down to etc, just find it bizarre

On the fight though, conlans done now, certainly at the level he wants to be at. I like Gill smart little boxer but never been known for hitting hard, jurys out for me on whether or not moving up in weight has helped his power as seems to be the consensus or whether or not conlan was just damaged goods chin wise and finished in that department and anyone half decent could have chinned him

None of us on a forum will ever know. I hate to say it but it's become fashionable to claim mental health problems and maybe even thoughts of suicide too. Even years ago the best 2 ways to get a sick note were a bad back and depression.
In Gills case I certainly wouldn't write it off. Professionally he wasn't doing too well and apparently at the same time him and his partner had split up. In my experience apart from a bereavement it doesn't get much worse.
Anyway I hope the lad feels better now. Hell get somebody else if he hasn't already and this was a magnificent win.
BUT if I hear that grossly overweight rapper again I might go in a field myself.

Go to the “real forum” where nobody watches boxing post 2000 and all they do is discuss fantasy matchups where every single fighter born after 1975 is awful and would lose by early KO to a guy from the 1950s, and every fighter that fought in black and white is an ATG.

They also cream themselves over the greatest fighter of all time (Harry Greb) even though there’s no video footage of him!

    No surrender indeed. FTP

Why mate? I wouldn't even have discussed this if everyone else wasn't going on about conlan and his views/fan base. I'm just saying I don't understand why people couldn't see how those from the republican side of the divide might have a different view on things, and find our national worship/obsession with royals bizarre and something people seemed to be referencing

Wales is in Britain therefore he is British. Matter of fact he was born in London! I don't care what he chooses to represent. He is what he is and he is British.

About as Italian as a microwave lasagne from Tesco. Not born there, not schooled there, not raised there. Not Italian.

Haha there's so many places to start with this. Welsh Mother, Italian father, raised in Wales, honestly don't be so narrow minded and just plain stupid. Have you heard Joe Calzaghe talk? I don't care if he was born in Hammersmith or Hawaii, he's Welsh.
