Hearn's next step, if he wants this to go ahead, is going to have to be via a bogus arrangement with an overseas commission. However Eubank, so far at least, maintaining he won’t fight outside BBBofC jurisdiction.

 

Kel Brook is making all the noise of a retired fighter looking for another payday and says he 'would definitely get out of my silk sheets for a fight with Benn.'

Hearn is obviously absolutely desperate for Eubank-Benn but perhaps his fallback will be Brook?

 

As I expected Benn is going down the 'coward' route re Eubank not signing the fight.

Any fight contract will have line which stipulates which board the fight is under and references to that boards rules and stipulations. As Benn can't be licensed in the UK the contract can't be signed without another board being inserted.


Do they want eubank to sign a contract which has loads of blank spaces in it with TBC in bold letters?

It was typical Jordan - very wordy, could have been half the length it was, but it's clear they covered a lot of ground in their meeting. The key points I took from it:

- Jordan sympathised with Benn somewhat
- Benn is going to share more information publicly very soon - Jordan refused to divulge most of the details, as he promised he wouldn't steal Benn's thunder
- Benn claimed to Jordan that he didn't tear his boxing licence up - it reached its natural expiry
- Jordan told him his advisors had done badly by him, and represented him appallingly in the court of public opinion

Would assume Benn will be on the Jordan / White show very soon to state his case. I would much rather he shared his case with the BBBofC personally.

Hopefully he has a better reason for not dealing with them than last time, when he told them to "do one".
