Roy Jones Jr, 54, has now confirmed that he's in talks to fight Tommy Fury, 24, next in an exhibition: “We’re in talks, it's being negotiated. Tommy is inexperienced and that’s balanced out by my experience… I'll say that I'm 75% sure this exhibition happens.”

Tommy has to be one of the worst boxers I’ve ever seen. This is his level, fighting YouTubers and 50 year olds, he gets smoked by any half decent professional.

I could see this happening - easy money for both. RJJ loves to fight and Tommy isn't (IMHO) really good enough to make a proper professional boxing career but can beat YouTubers and some retired/shot name boxers for good money due to his name and fame.

    What the actual ****!

If boxers want to fight at Roys age, they should at least be matched with someone their own generation.

Roy must have squandered his earnings.

Look at what happened with Holyfield, guy got swarmed before he'd even drawn breath.

Roy's been more active than Andy Ruiz lol

If you can't tell by my nickname I quite like the guy, but this is asinine.

And Tommy Fury has to be the biggest clown in boxing if he accepts this sh*t

I don't know what's worse, Roy trying to fight, or people paying to see this.

Just like Evander Holyfield then? Gosh, they are two of my favorite boxers ever. They both keep fighting until the bitter end. Father Time is getting too neglected here in the equation. Look how he popped up so fast when Evander got starched so fast the last time. :/

Whoever wins, we all lose. Unless Roy somehow knocked Fury out and ended his career. It shows Tommy's ambition as a boxer though, and is a tacit admission that he'll never forge a worthwhile pro career. I can't see anyone getting excited for this freak show.

Tommy Fury has no qualms, morals or talent.

He'll never ever face a remotely decent non pensioner boxer cos he knows he'd get destroyed.
