Proof he did steroids in the 90s? Caught twice past age 37 when he was taking medications for an injury.

Besides, some think Toney's best run was at cruiserweight, or atleast he wasn't in unanimous decline like Duran was after '83.

He was a fat slob while on steroids. Can't judge a man by his flab.

Used it twice for injuries. Not a consistent user as per your own criteria of not getting caught. His physique wasn't from steroids.

They voted wth their hearts. Pacquiao obviously isn't above Mayweather.

You're all over the place. Toney's use of steroids while being a fat slob certainly doesn't prove that Duran would be ripped on steroids, or that he didn't use steroids.

You don't get ripped through steroids if you aren't using them for training. Toney's were part of his medications. If they weren't, present proof. Otherwise you are showing double standards. If Mayweather didn't use them just because he didn't get caught, then there is no proof that Toney was using them while he was at Cruiserweight (he was a slob back then as well).

Toney literally trained while on steroids multiple times. The rehab excuse got turned on its head when he tested postivie again. And if you complete a training camp with steroids in your system, you trained on steroids regardless of your stated reason.

So it's an excuse when it's everbody else, except when it's Mayweather. Can't injuries happen again? Can't a 38 year old fighter who is fighting way above his natural weight class as an unathletic guy not get injured again and need medications? Pacman never got caught for steroids, but do you legitimately think he wasn't on them? For the record, I really don't care if Mayweather did steroids. Everybody is on them, let alone in an era where they largely weren't part of the legal landscape. But I can't overlook your selective bias when assessing Mayweather in the same situations.

Exactly this. Im sorry but he was definitely not on any type of real doping program even if he apparently took some sort of injection for some fight.

One look at his body compared to the other guys that moved up says it all.

To be honest he probably had less muscle on his back and arms in many fights at 160 than he did at 147, probably from excessive jojo in weight and crash diets.

Compare that to modern greats and how their bodies looked when they moved up.

It does hurt his legacy that he wasnt as dedicated as FMJ and Pacquiao but he did more than enough to cement his place in history at 135-147, the fact that he added cherries on top at 154 and 160 while being an undisciplined slob after Montreal is just testament to his skills and toughness.

If, instead of asking "what's the consensus", ThatOne had asked "what does NoNeck think", I wouldn’t have responded with a link to the results of a combined survey of 24 x posters.

Are we giving Duran special points for being out shape?

I'll remind you that Duran was a 135 pounder at age 22 whereas Floyd was a 130 and Pacquiao was a 122. Pacquiao moved up seamlessly through another five weightclasses to be a successfull 147 pounder. Floyd moved up another four weightclasses to be one the best 154s ever. Neither Floyd nor Pacquiao ever got out of shape.

Rolly Polly Roberto went up another four or five weightclasses and lost most of his big fights+Pat Lawlor and Robbie Simms.

Floyd came in at 137-139 lbs for most of his fights at 130 on the day of the fight. The biggest Duran was at this time, in non-title fights, was 138lbs. At age 19, Duran was at featherweight. Floyd was always a lightweight+ even at that age. No, Floyd wasn't smaller, ever. Floyd barely fought at 154lbs btw.
