I would say: Chin IQ Backfoot game/lateral movement Engine Mentality (composure, self-belief, hunger, determination, courage) Less pressure (Joshua’s career is on the line and he’s expected to make a statement) Focus (Wallin will be focused entirely on Joshua, whereas Joshua may be looking past Wallin toward Wilder/Hrgovic/Fury or distracted by the fight week buildup with Miller, Sahni, Froch etc.) Preparation (Wallin’s seen Joshua as a potential pro opponent for years and there's less relevant tape of Wallin to study) Southpaw Rough tactics Form (Wallin's win over Gassiev in Turkey is a better win than Joshua’s had since 2018, Wallin is 6-0 in his last 6 fights whereas Joshua is 4-3 in his last 7) Age/wear (Wallin is 13 months younger and has had fewer hard fights) Training camp stability (Joshua’s on his 4th trainer in 5 fights) Relatively short notice (Joshua hasn’t performed well and has lost on short notice, whereas Wallin fought Fury and massively overperformed relative to expectations on 6 weeks' notice) Experience against lineal champion Fury when Wallin was far less experienced One loss vs three humiliating losses Wallin’s also a rare Joshua opponent who isn’t small or past his best and he's much better than Breazeale.
He's got an advantage with his southpaw stance, that's it. He can probably handle getting hit better, but he's an underdog for a reason.
Good mandible, is southpaw, but that is about it. Should be an ok decision win for AJ so long as he has had a good camp and boxes it well.
It's a clever confidence building fight really i think, cos let's face it AJ needs as much of that as he can get at the moment. Lol. Joshua will be up for this one having already been in with wallin and beat him in the ams, his confidence will be far better for this fight than it has in years!
aj just performed very well against one of the most skilled fighters in the sport aand the greatest southpaw above light heavyweight, wallin doesnt have much for him, in my opinion, and if hes to get over aggressive i think he gets walked into a big right hand or a left hook
AJ's power advantage will let him beat Wallin easily Wallin hits like a girl, no real snap. Usyks straight left is better.
