He can dine out on the "gouged an eye" story for life though. In fairness even the boy Theo probably wouldn't resort to that.

I only know three facts about Mickey Theo.

    he’s a bodybuilder
    He owns a car wash
    John Fury DUCKED him

Course he wouldn't. I doubt even JF would actually"dine out" on it . For whatever reason, I bet he regrets it.
If he ducked him mate it's probably because he doesn't want to return to prison. I dont know much about Mickey, but hes older than JF, and despite being a fit guy who could probably fight a bit at his peak, wouldn't have much chance with him in a boxing ring. Or probably even outside one.
John starts all that **** at conferences because he knows hes going to be held back. Hes not frightened of a scrap, but doesn't really want one.

Poor wording on my part. I meant more that if a hardman did want to have a go at Fury, his reputation would precede him and maybe stop things getting that far. If the boy Theo was serious then he's got some balls.

He's either frightened of a scrap or he isn't. How many scraps has he had since he came out of prison? vs How many has he threatened to have.

He's TERRIFIED of a scrap from where I'm sitting. Particularly with Mickey Theo.

Cant really say whether hes serious or not mate but id say he has some balls to even challenge Fury, who I bet can still do some damage. I reckon what hes been dining out on is his past reputation as a boxer. Contrary to what some think ge wasn't such a bad one. And I dont think he was afraid of having a row outside the ring either.
I wasn't having a go at you for your post by the way.
I think he likes causing a stir. Doing his nut is a kind of catharsis for him. Hell be used to people backing down from him. But hes relatively an old man, past his best in fighting terms and probably doesn't like it. Living on past glories that weren't really glories.

Iad be actually surprised if he was afraid of Mickey. But after what happened last time, he doesn't really want a scrap. I dont think he had any in the nick. I'll bet most were afraid of him, and those that weren't would be his pals.

No bother at all, think we're agreeing... I get the feeling old John is putting on a hardman act, but it'd be a razor-thin line for him to make it real. Wonder what a tense "gloves are off" between him and Chisora would be like. Not exactly a meeting of minds but the kicking-off would be spectacular.

That's quite an interview, not holding anything back. Going on the last performance, he isn't wrong either.

Probably trying to throw Usyk of his game by misleading people that there are 'problems' in his camp to make Fury the underdog. Usyk is coming prepared no matter what.

Thanks for putting this. Whatever anybody thinks about him, he knows his stuff and isn't afraid to say it. I dont think Tyson will fight in February because he wont be ready. I'll bet his Christmas has started now and wont end until the end of January. Usyk will be training now. Later in 2024 im giving Tyson a fair chance. Not February. Ive only gone 3 minutes into the interview and will now hear the rest to see if his dad says something similar.
