Marcial could be shoved if someone wants to do "past and future titlists beaten" but Duran would get dwarfed by Mayweather and Pac in that category too.

Hatton was not ranked at WW by the ring in April 2007 - https://boxrec.com/wiki/index.php/The_Ring_Magazine's_Annual_Ratings:_2006

Hatton did not fight at WW between April 2007 and the Mayweather fight, so it's safe to assume he wasn't ranked at WW when he fought Mayweather.

He was actively fighting at 140 at that time. I don't know what they did when he switched back to 147.

Hatton was neither ranked at WW by the ring magazine in April 2007 nor April 2008. He wouldn't have been ranked at any point in between, and obviously not before the Mayweather fight.

floyd fought 20 world level fighters and beat them all.

duran fought 2 atg's(srl twice) in their prime and went 1-2, all 3 fights above his weight.
went 26-12 against world level fighters including fights when he was way past prime and weight.

i can see the argument for either man but i'm in the floyd camp. don't get fat and waste your money.

The Ring, quite rightly, only rank fighters in a weight division they were previously unranked in, after they've fought in it, not when they schedule a fight in it. I'm surprised you weren't aware of that.

Yeah, he beat the number 5 there. I’m surprised you’re unaware of that.

i'm suprised you care at all about that. hatton was still the obvious #1 at 140 and one of the top guys at 147. stats are fun but obvious reality is actual

he fought at least 7, lost the majority. hearns and srl were undisputedly prime atg's, i didn't mean to put hagler etc on maidana's level. those 3 fights i mentioned are unarguably miles above anything floyd did. lose or win.

duran lost on the way up, lost in his prime and fought waay too long.

floyd fought the best at many weights for over a decade and went 49-0 + bull**** that wasn't pro boxing. 50-0 in the records.

i said i can see it either way. if i come back tomorrow i might say duran. very different but very comparable.

Quitting in one isn't, even by the wildest stretch of imagination. Conveniently left off getting ktfo by Hearns from the three.

Sosa, augustus and hussain aren't comparable to Marcel. Not when you think they were prospects nor when they were prime. Guts Ishimatsu was a better fighter than all 3, but nobody is bigging him up. You clearly don't know anything about Marcel except his boxrec record.
