It may not seem so but Haney is actually the heavier guy here so it should be fair who wins

Can Haney use them clever fleet feet and slickness to outbox Nunn

Fighters used to fight at their actual weight lmao. Absolutely mental stuff.

Zero % chance. Nunn has the advantage in all categories. Plus he is an awkward southpaw.

Same day weigh ins had ended by the time Nunn showed up. I am not sure of his fight night weight though, he was lanky but at 6'2 even 170 would look lanky.

Same day weigh-ins were still going on in the late 80s/early 90s when Nunn was 160.

Nunn and Starling weighed in on the day of their fight in 1990.

I thought SDWI ended in 83 after the Spinks/ Muhammad fight didn't go through due to Muhammad not making weight.

Milton McRory, for example, drained a lot. I would guess that Nunn drained a fair amount too. He weighed in just 2 lbs heavier than Starling, but looked s lot bigger in the ring.

I love to bring up the fact that even Hopkins came in at under 170. He was usually 168 or even slightly lower; it´s why only weighed in at 156 against De La Hoya(something he does not get credit for) and 157 for Trinidad.

    This 15lb+ **** is a more of a 2010 and onwards phenomenon.

Don't know really. Toney drained about 15 lbs at SMW, and could have been even more at MW, and still Barkley made him look tiny. Williams and Sosa were other SMWs that looked positively massive. Watson... And McCrory was absolutely huge for WW already in the 80's, and he didn't look bigger than Curry and McCallum. So there were certainly big drainers back then already.

From my recollections, it was pretty rare to see guys put on 10lbs or more when looking at the tale of the tape on HBO and SHO.
 I just remembered that Haney weighs almost as much as Middleweight Hopkins did. FFS.

Could Haney make 135 for a same day weigh in fight?

    I doubt it.

    He gets smoked by Nunn.
