Carl Thompson loved a good brawl.

Probably In-Jin Chi. He was pretty crafty, but definitely in slugger's mode. Was good at making his opponent fight his style of fight. Had great battle swith Morales and Brodie.
I believe He's the last South Korean boxing champion as well.

Yes. Shame that Rocky Juarez fight didn't happen. I think it could've been another thriller, but Chi pulled out with injury and only had 2 fights after that.

He wasn´t a slugger though, in my view he wasn´t. He was a masterful counter-puncher that was rugged and tough, and could punch.

i think the same about saddler. excellent boxer and masterful infighter, not close to a slugger to my eyes.

I trained a female pro whom I nicknamed Li’l Slugger. She was 111 pounds of you-don’t-want-none. Gorgeous right hand with a ton of pop. Busted the nose of every male she ever sparred with (including me) … and she never really got any female sparring mates.

Went 5-0 (4) as a pro and then joined the Marines and became an officer.

So she’d be my favorite Slugger (I call her that to this day when we talk periodically on the phone or text; she calls me coach).

Apart from that, I think Pipino Cuevas qualifies as a slugger so that’s my guy.

It's funny, Foreman, Lyle, and Saad Muhammad were the first Fighters that popped into my head LOL

Great shout out to In-Jin Chi!
