The average boxing IQ is higher today then the last century so Crawford by default.

Actually I'm not even a Mayweather fan you're just talking about a subject you have no clue about

Castillo beat Stevie Johnston, Diego Corrales, Joel Casamayor, those 3 names alone eclipse any win that the likes of Shawn Porter ever had. Add the fact he's the only fighter who realistically has a good argument to beating a prime Floyd Mayweather Jr ,and was also Lineal Lightweight champion then it's quite obvious Castillo is a quality fighter.

So when you tell me Shawn Porter is better than Castillo which is nonsense, or that a tiny Gamboa moving up to Lightweight is better than Castillo which is also nonsense, or when you tell me "Castillo is not that good" it insults my intelligence.

I never claimed Castillo is an "ATG" i said he's a lower tier worthy HOF who was a very good Lightweight, and he would be Crawford's 2nd best win on his resume which is true.

Floyd in my view but it’s just my view.
Floyd has been in the ring with legendary boxers and always avoided taking real punishment for the vast majority of his fights.

Crawford is a highly skilled ring IQ assassin. He has a different approach compared to Floyd. I would say Crawford might be the highest ring IQ of current active boxers today. He is a stone cold killer

I don't see how that first McGirtt vs Whitaker fight was a draw.

I don't think mean machine is better than JLC. Gamboa probably isn't either.

Saying Mean Machine is better than Castillo is absurd.

And a small Gamboa who didn't belong at Lightweight is certainly not better than Castillo at Lightweight.

I respect that you have an opinion. It is simply wrong.

JLC is closer to Victor Ortiz than he is to the HOF. JLC beating olf Corrales after old/shot Corrales stopped him is not impressive...and the exact same thing happened w Casamayor.

By your metric anyone that goes 1-1 w an opponent is an ATG and HOF, low-tier or otherwise.

It is okay to disagree about things. P4P I have Gamboa and Postol and Mean Machine beating JLC. His best performance was a 115-113 either way/draw w Floyd. He also beat Casamayor and Corrales after they knocked him out. Dude was tough and grinded but just didnt and doesnt move the bar for me.

I understand but that Spence was coming off arguably his best performance of his career vs Ugas. Hard to know how much of that Crawford win was Crawfords greatness vs Spence not being the same.
