So that's a heavy asterisk on your post about his knockouts. A very large number of them were against nobodies.

No not at all he fought who they put in front of him.
He was not an Olympian. He didn't have a hefty contract.
He was a poor kid who fought his way to the top.

The best guys mayweather fought who could have been a threat were shopworn, somehow been "broken in" and no way near hungry enough to beat him.
    Pacquiao, Oscar, Cotto etc
To beat someone like floyd you have to be HUNGRY.
A savage who would die to win
    Joe frazier vs Ali,
    Duran vs Leonard
Hagler, Chavez, Taylor, Marciano even Tyson in the beginning of their careers.

The window is quite small for those types of guys to beat the quicker boxer/mover.

Floyd made sure they all passed that window.

The best hungry Savages he fought were Castillo and Maidana and what i saw there tells me Duran would have murdered him.

Now Leonard and Hearns i just think are better and bigger than him and give him stylistic fits.

FMJ was a terrific fighter and from 130-140 i favor very few against him but Duran is exactly the guy that would destroy him up to Montreal. And FMJ would make sure to fight him after No-Mas.

    Of course.

How silly for WADA and VADA to have it on their prohibited lists.

    No.

You just can’t refute what he’s said.

And how have you even got the audacity to tell someone that you stopped reading after a few sentences, after the absolute horse manure that you produce?

    You’re such a poor poster.

You write out absolute drivel which is an insult to these great fighters.

    Exceeded that how?

    Enlighten us with your expertise.

Floyd would not have exceeded that.

The contracts would never even have been signed to have fought those guys.

So now the context is suddenly important to you?

It’s funny that, considering that that’s what we’ve all been telling you for over 40 pages.

    Yeah.

And Floyd never fought anyone as great as the Fab Four, and especially not the specific versions who Duran fought.

    Again, CONTEXT.

Several were better than the third fight Leonard.

If you were a little sharper, you'd switch your conspiracy theory to Floyd having used a diuretic to make weight. Nobody would pass a series of blood tests through training and then take steroids after the weigh in.

I will throw another observation in there.

On a Facebook Mayweather fanboy page, I was recently disputing the proposition that he is the GOAT.

I was asked which of the old timers would beat him.

I very humbly said that I couldn't be sure, but I proposed a list of fighters, who woudl definitely give him a difficult night.

The list included Roberto Duran, and Sugar Ray Leonard.

They stood out as two obvious stylistic foils for me.

Maybe the IV is what allowed him to pass the blood test to begin with?? This "blood cleaning" is a known practice by dopers, people like memo heredia have talked about it

The issue is that Roberto lost once to De Jesus, once to Benitez, twice to Leonard, and once to Laing. Maybe you don't see the stylistic continuity between them and Floyd, but I do.
