Vitali Klitschko's resume if he fought his brother Wladimir's opposition

Only suffered two losses as a result of injuries against Lennox Lewis and Chris Byrd. How does Vitali finish his career if paired against Wlad's opposition?

 

Swap Charr 12 for Joshua 17 or Fury 15 and I'd like to see how it panned out. Vitali had definitely slowed down but was still teak tough and dominating rounds. I would expect him to win at least one of them.

 

Greater than he ended up actually being by fighting who he did, that's for damn sure.

 

I think he clears everyone bar maybe Fury at the end. I think if he avoids injury he beats Byrd, he beats Brewster, AJ, Sanders, Povetkin, Ibragimov, Haye, Chagaev, and Puritty. Styles make fights and Wlad had a lot of them so I’m sure an upset may have occurred along the way.

 

As we discovered in reality, when faced with world class talent, Vitali's face came apart worse than the Bayonne Bleeder.
When somebody "injures" you the way Lennox injured Vitali they always LOSE the fight.
And Vitali quit against Byrd. When you quit, you lose. No mas.

 

Haye, Valuev, Povetkin. 2 good scalps and he would of stopped the Giant.

 

One problem with this is that Vitali was more injury prone than Wlad and his style was more taxing on the body. He was out for almost 4 years because his body couldn't take the strain (though many suggested he was ducking various fighters) and he fought far fewer opponents than Wlad, worse opponents too. So how would his body hold up on his brother's schedule? I don't think it's possible to make a meaningful comparison given their very different career trajectories.

 

At his best, he'd be favoured over nearly all of Wlad's opponents. Fury's probably an unwinnable matchup, Byrd outslicked him and made him quit, a young Joshua at Wembley would be a dangerous fight. Thompson and Pulev would be interesting.

 

I mean you can't really say he'd beat Byrd in a hypothetical career, when he fought and lost to him in his own career can you?

 

He beats them all.

 

Vitali wasn't as good as Wlad. He had nowhere near the power, which was what won Wlad so many of his fights.

Fury - how does Vitali win by outside fighting with his hands down? He doesn't have the power to destroy him either.
Povetkin - Vitali can't stop Povetkin. Can't hug as well as Wlad. Probably a close fight, and Povetkin might get a decision on a good night. It would be closer than the Wlad fight anyway. Also remember how many bodyshots Chisora landed. Povetkin hits harder than Chisora.

 

Wlad was a cheat who got away with horrible reffing. He should've been DQ'd a few times. Vit would kick his but too, we all know this.

 

I always felt Haye was a terrible style for Vitali.

Prime for prime, the only opponent of his era that I would expect him to lose more than one to three times out of ten: Lennox Lewis.

 

Outworking him. You think Fury's minigames and feinting makes Vitali gun shy like it did Wlad. He would be pissed and throwing a shitload of punches every round with no worry for whats coming back.
Povetkin and Hate would be the best match ups stylistically.
