    The Mike Dokes one was overlooked because Weaver was an unfashionable and unlikely champion, with a spotty record, whereas Dokes was fast, undefeated and flashy, and the world was looking for an Ali replacement.

    Froch put up a social media post the night before saying that tomorrow he was going to stop Groves inside the distance. Foster, the ‘impartial referee’ liked this post from his own Facebook account. In my opinion that is totally unacceptable.

    You can argue that Foster stopping that fight was a sliding doors moment for Matchroom and UK boxing at that time.

    Nah was definitely premature. Certainly wouldn't have been stopped if the other way round.

    That fight is a stain in Calzaghes already light resume. Didn't he vacate a belt so he could fight this reality tv boxer?
