I believe Mihai Nistor is the only fighter in history to stop/KO both AJ and Wallin in the amateurs In June 2011 he stopped AJ Four months later Nistor lost to Hrgovic Six months after that he KO'd Wallin And then the following year Nistor lost to King Usyk
Sundsvall, actually. And to be fair, a secondary school education is probably more than most pro boxer have accomplished.
Who do you think will win? I'm very confident AJ will win and wonder if you're interested in a ban bet?
If you think Miller is a live dog...best check out the open workout footage where Miller gasses himself with two minutes of shadow boxing. The flies have laid their eggs in that dog.
Joshua points because Wallin needs 8 clear rounds to win and even that may not be enough. AJ's the favourite based on the idea that he can keep the fight close and survive any hairy moments if need be. Plus he's got a bodyguard ref.
I don't think Wallin has any advantage that will trouble AJ and AJ is going to hit him harder than anybody has hit him before. My opinion is Wallin may be durable enough and possibly last the 12 but gets beat up in the process if he does. However, I think it's more likely he gets stopped and it wouldn't surprise me if Wallin doesn't see the second half of the fight. AJ will want to make a statement.
Ok. How many of Joshua's last nine opponents has he stopped, what were their ages and when was the last time Joshua stopped an opponent inside 6? And who was that guy? Nothing is based in reality with you guys.
Wallin may have a better chin but AJ having much better power cancels it out. AJ getting hit by Wallin is less shaky than Wallin getting hit by AJ
The biggest outright risk to AJ is that he's going to do something silly (e.g. punch himself out, gas, etc.) in pursuit of a knockout. A KO would be a huge boon to his cause because Fury, after all, couldn't manage that feat. I don't think Wallin can outbox AJ over the course of 12 rounds. And AJ probably has 4 rounds in his pocket with the judges, anyhow. But a competitive-ish fight won't be enough to stifle the critics and I think AJ knows that, and the burden of that could lead him to box foolishly.
I think that's good analysis - but trying to force the KO could get AJ in trouble. As you said, he will want to make a statement and his heart could override his head.
