Louis was a glass-chinned 200lbs bobblehead fighting LHWs and barroom slobs. He gets smoked by any modern fighter.

This was my thought as well. He'd jump out of the ring like Kermit Cintron vs Paul Williams!! Except he wouldn't stop there. He'd hot foot it all the way outta the building to the waiting limo to the comfort of his therapist's couch.

Andy Ruiz is only 6'2 and sent him to the shadow realm.

    Joe Louis smokes him.

But in a more realistic scenario, if AJ was born in 1914 would he now be classed as the greatest HW of all time like Louis is?

Would he have ensured in those conditions to have made it to the top?

I doubt it. AJ fighting in 15 fight rounds, every month, nah.

    Louis > AJ

Why would it be? His glass chin and stamina issues certainly don’t lend well to winning battles of attrition. It’s how Andy ruiz beat him.
Joe Louis would be the best defensive fighter Anthony besides uysk. He’d certainly be the fastest.
Seeing as he’s the faster, more accurate puncher, and the better boxer/finisher, that’s the likely outcome.

Louis is the one with the glass chin here, getting stopped by midgets that can't even make heavy nowadays.

Louis would beat Usyk or Holyfield.
Early Joshua would have a shot. Not now.
Keeping in mind that Louis was 6'2" and could bulk up 10-20 lbs if that were required.

Basing punching power on height? I don’t know if you’re trolling or if you really are serious. Ether way you have no leg to stand on as Andy ruiz isn’t any taller than six foot even.

You think glassy-chinned Louis is winning a battle of attrition? That's literally the dumbest tactic he could adopt.

Nah, that would be Wlad I should think. Louis got himself caught by tons of crappy fighters like Galento. He was hittable and not hugely elusive.

He never mentioned height. Billy Conn was roughly the same height as Louis but a SMW by today's standards. Lots of Louis's opponents were LHWs or at a pinch CWs. Louis had proven terrible punch resistance against a range of weightclasses.

Louis doesn't come close to beating either man.

He also had a narrow frame. He packs on 20lbs he enters Adamek territory.

Why didn't he do that against Wlad then?

Schmeling was 192lb when he sent Louis to take a nap.

AJ is too big and when you throw in modern sports science into the mix, it's a mismatch.
