What is the context of quitting, using diuretics and steroids, and coming into various fights out of shape?

You are legitimately one of the worst members of the forum.

We’re nearly 50 pages in, and you still haven’t debated objectively.

    You’re a joke.

You require more context than Claudine Gay.

    You require a perma ban.

Only an absolute simpleton would make a thread, but then refuse to objectively debate in it.

    It’s absolutely shameful.

I just think you believe lies that you've told yourself based on your fondness of Duran and dislike of Mayweather.

    Here's a challenge for you:

Fighter A beat more lineal champs, hall of famers, and diivision number 1 fighters in his career than Fighter B. Fighter A also has significantly fewer loses.

Show me an instance of Fighter B having a superior resume than fighter A, despite these constraints. Neither can be Duran or Mayweather.

I haven’t told any lies you clown.

I can also separate Floyd as a fighter, and Floyd as a person.

    Read the thread.

Go back and read the earlier posts.

    No lies have been told.

    Floyd has been given credit.

Floyd was a genius. And if I didn’t know that or believe it, I simply wouldn’t ever use that term in order to describe him.

We know all about your challenge.

EVERY one of your points and questions has been answered.

    Now the flip side:

    Floyd fought LESSER fights.

    He fought LESSER opposition.

He never fought a prime ATG.

He never fought any fighters who were as great as the best fighters who Duran fought.

He never saw a prime Leonard in his life.

He never saw a prime Hearns in his life.

He never saw a prime Hagler in his life.

You’ve even admitted yourself that you believe that he’d have lost to Hearns.

So by your own admission, the undefeated record that you celebrate, would not have existed had Floyd have fought Duran’s opponents.

    So yes, I respect Floyd.

    I respect his resume.

    I respect his longevity.

    His skills.

    His accomplishments.

    His ranking in history.

    Again, he was a genius.

But none of it is enough to say that he was superior, when again, he fought less fights, against lesser opponents.

    Context matters.

The issue with you, is that you’ll only fixate on the positives of Floyd’s career, and the negatives of Duran’s.

You simply will not debate in good faith, where you can be objective.

I gave you a pretty reasonable exercise to complete and you've skipped it entirely.

You're extremely defensive when your beliefs are challenged.

Pacquiao has more loses than Leonard and I also rate Pacquiao above Leonard, like many do,

The nerve of you to write this is simply staggering.

I’ve agreed with everything that you’ve said.

But along with many other posters, I’ve just told you to look at other factors too.

We have all acknowledged Floyd’s greatness.

We just want you to look at the whole picture, where you apply the relevant context.

It’s YOU who doesn’t like to be challenged.

It’s YOU who is completely blinded by the statistics.

    It’s YOU who’s extremely defensive.

It would make for a much better debate, if you were more open to an objective debate, where ALL factors are considered.

Yet around and around we go.

But we can just simplify things:

You are trying to choke everybody by ramming Floyd’s stats down our throats.

Yet at the same time, you’ve admitted that those same stats wouldn’t exist, had he have fought Duran’s opponents. You have him rightly losing to Hearns. So even though you’re still stubborn on the other opponents, a loss to Hearns alone would have changed Floyd’s stats, where he wouldn’t have been undefeated.

So for once in your life, come back and have an objective debate with us, where you’re open to discussing the fact that Duran fought tougher opponents and challenged himself more, despite the fact that he was even SMALLER than Floyd, with a tiny reach.

Would take some time to check all the stats, but I'm pretty sure there are fighters with better resumes than Joe Calzaghe who didn't beat 2 HoF'ers or match him in other categories on paper. Maybe JLC and Esteban De Jesus?

I'd have trouble putting either of these two above Calzaghe (assuming that's Jose Luis Castillo).

It might be possible with Salvador Sanchez or Tito Trinidad. Not sure who I'd put ahead of either though.
