I think we are going a little overboard here. Briedis broke his jaw, and a good 40% or so on here thought he won. So how is Opetaia that much greater in the first place?
Well the 40% who thought Breidis won are wrong. And the fact that he had his jaw broken only adds to Opetaia’s performance. Breidis had his chance to cash in on that and he couldn’t. In any event Opetaia will have taken more improvement post the Breidis fight than Breidis himself has. Opetaia is coming into his prime now and is clearly in better shape. Breidis is approaching 40 and will be declining. Opetaia wins a rematch very easily.
