The long-awaited Fury v. Usyk fight is scheduled to happen on February 17, 2024 - but will that fight actually take place on that date? Nobody can forget Fury's sabbatical in 2016 that held 3 of the belts hostage until he was stripped.

The "Yes" case for the fight happening as planned would include arguments like: Fury is losing his A-side edge, promoters no longer consider him reliable - to say nothing of the Saudis, etc.

The "No" case would include arguments like: Fury simply needs more time to get himself back into shape, a delay would increase the chance that Usyk's age will work against him, etc.

    FTR: I voted "Probably Not"

Probably not. He's scared and knows he's going to lose.

No idea, this is boxing and nothing is for certain. It was hilarious watching the December 23rd date go up in smoke after the Furys threatened legal action and were then humbled in embarrassing fashion by a novice. I do think this fight will happen, I’m just not sure if it happens in February.

    I think it’s 50/50.

I really want Fury to win but I think his chances are about 50/50 now. I don’t get a sense he is taking it serious enough.

I did think that before Wilder 2 as well though and he showed up in his best shape and launched Wilder across the podium, so who knows.

I can see a different card being put together though.

If Joshua loses I can see them trying to make Usyk vs Wilder.

Imo smth beetwen 2 and 3 answers.

Fury will check how he look on the sparing and then probably decide.

He knows that Usyk can destroy all his story and this fight is dangerous af.

    I agree.

Fury was getting knocked around in sparring during the summer of 2020 by Efe Ajagba of all people. Two weeks before he was supposed to have his third fight with Wilder, Fury suffered a black eye against Ajagba. And then he called off the fight claiming he had COVID.

Then Fury ran around Vegas with no mask on getting drunk with his trainer and posing for pictures with everyone the rest of the day.

Wilder ended up having to go to a judge to force him to honor their contract and fight him again.

So, will they fight on that date? Who the hell knows. ;)

But, when they do fight, I expect Fury will win.

Usyk is going to get "injured" in camp

And everyone will be quiet yet if that happened to Fury it would be pitchforks

Judge off sparring then decide? You guys are crackheads. Who the hell do you think Fury or Usyk are sparring to judge whether they are ready for one another. Jai Opetai? This is an on the night execute and adaptive gameplan to get the job done deal. It could be close or wide for either depending how the night goes. Usyk can outbox Fury we know this. Fury could outbox Usyk but will struggle more given his current form and style so HAS to impose size on him.

Oh, stop it. You were crying and making thread of Usyk not being ready for December 23th, then when your hero pull out of the fight, you go into hiding and making threads excusing Fury why he won't be ready for Dec. 23th.

This is why i can't see a world where anyone serious can take you seriously. And i visiting pretty much most of Fury fans. They are all barking, two-faces that changes their agenda when it suit/doesn't suit them.
Biased is a light word, the right is delusional.
Start making excuses for the February date already.

As far as the fight happen or not on that date, it's really a 50-50 thing. It's either going to happen or not. I just hope Saudi has a iron contract, so they can chase and SUE Fury if he decide to play silly game and pulls out once again.

He is ducking Usyk, and trying to age him, for a good time already. That fight could have happen a few times already.

Wrong I made a thread that stated usyk would be ready for Dec 23rd you peanut.

You should be praying for AJ anyway before Otto boxes his big dumb bodybuilding nut off or if he survives Wallin keep praying that he ducks Wilder.

Fury did pull out of a fight after the weigh in once, publicly crying that the opponent showed up in shape and it was a conspiracy to get him.
