    Yes, Wilder is ageing and the Fury fights were draining, but he's also perhaps the most protected fighter ever at this level. Old man Ortiz was going in a similar direction until he got caught and if Wilder had faced more contenders someone would probably have taken it all the way, like Parker just did.
