That has to be one of the lowest amount of punches ever landed between two top 10 Heavyweights after 12 rounds.
Makes sense in retrospect. He was never good at fighting off the backfoot, and his legs have probably slowed at this point, meaning he can't quite pull the explosive trigger he could a few years ago, as unskilled as he was.
Crazy to realize the compubox record for lowest amount of punches came close to being broken three times in just a little over a month
Hell to be fair, he didn't land even 10 clean punches. The Compubox is a joke, but i don't remember a single hard punch being landed by Wilder all night long.
He land pretty similar in 2 Ortiz fight but there he got older, worse footwork dude with worse reflex. He just waiting for big right hand. He even dont learn how to use jab for more than finding distance for right hand.
Wilder was always a joke , complete and total hype job. I’d say most overrated hw ever, fury being second most overrated .
Just for context Fury vs Wladimir which was a god awful fight but Wladimir still managed to land 51 punches 12 more than Wilder, honestly i do hate this era of giants give me the smaller skillful Heavyweights of the past. Unfortunately Usyk seems like the only one who fits that criteria and he's on the verge of retirement.
Yea its crazy to go back and watch ali, Frazier, Patterson, Tyson and just see them do things these guys today are physically incapable of doing
Nqh, WIlder looks like he always have looked: https://youtube.com/shorts/CDeKT4J-dRs?si=50xZjsdZVWMLQI5T The reality is Parker didn't stand still waiting to get KOed.
