Right now I'd probably favour Dubois. Impressed me last night with his durability, stamina and mobility. I reckon he could probably stick and move his way to a close UD, maybe even a stoppage depending on how hittable Ruiz is on the night.
Now? Dubois! You can't rate Ruiz since he retired He is 34yo and is giving away his best years, he's waiting for a another big payday to happen and just rusted
Sound by Franks comments Ruiz has signed for him. I'd love to see this fight. I'd be rooting for Dubois but I think Ruiz takes this with his toughness and quick hands.
Ruiz jr has had a foot out the door ever since winning against Joshua. Showed that in Joshua 2, Ortiz etc etc. Dubois wins unless Ruiz jr puts down the snickers bars and actually trains.
Dubois KOs that fat fake teeth burrito. Daniel hits harder than Joshua, and is not afraid to hit hard. Ruiz relies on behind the head shots to disable his opponents. Dubois is decent with the jab and goes to the body well, this would be a cracking fight. Dubois has been heavily underrated. He was beaten by the best cruiser of all time and arguably one of the best HWs. I thought Daniel looked really good against Usyk, especially his feet. He was 25 when he was beaten by an Olympic gold medalist (Yoka does not exist as a boxer) who had several years on him. What people forget is Dubois landed big shots on Joyce in that fight (many of which would KO many HWs), I recall Joyce looking a bit iffy on two occasions there. Dubois just beat a guy who literally had 100lbs on him. I speak of guys like Loma, Usyk and Inoue being the only guys beating guys bigger them (which is way more impressive than beating small guys like Crawford and Haney have been doing). What Daniel did here took the biscuit, outboxed heavy ass guy who took his punches like biscuits, then proceeded to ping his head around in the final round and knock him out.
Very interesting matchup depending on what Ruiz has left. The AJ 1 version would handle Dubois but that was a while ago now.
