He's every bit the HOFer that Manu is.

Comparatively, Wlad came off a similar length of inactivity at 41 years old and gave one of the best performances of his career. A career that spanned longer that Wilders with many more punishing fights than Wilder.

I don't know his life style, but he seems to stay in shape in between fight. Not saying he was prime, but I think his lack of fundamentals and a good game plan from Parker had more to do with it than age. Another thing to consider is, his mentality. He was sounding like a man looking to retirement.

Hahaha lol ,manu is an olympic champion , 4 x NBA champ , 2 x all star who holds wins over kobe , shaq, lebron .
Wilder’s best win is his loss to another massively overrated HW Tyson Fury.
    Wilder is a joke.

Nahhh he’s not over the hill!! Remember Wlad “Wasn’t over the hill” when Joshua beat him at 41! So I guess 40 is the new 30 nowadays apparently!

Wilder looked about as fast and sharp as he did in the Fury fights. Parker just whooped him. It happens. Wilder still has a few good fights left in him. A Zhang fight would be fun! Or why not a Nichols rematch???

Put him in with ngannou for a UFC fight! Didn’t Wilder say he was game for that?? I would absolutely LOVE to see deontey vs Tom Aspinall in the cage! I just hope Deontey will remember what to do when he feels something breaking or hyperextending. Meh… I’m sure if they explain what tapping is enough times he’ll remember. Or I hear Power Slap Championships are interested in signing him for a generous contract!

PLENTY of fun opportunities for Mr Yulaverse! He’s not done!

He def not done , he’ll be back stronger . Against Parker he looked as fast as ever . Problem was his target wasn’t shot and wasn’t stationary.
Don’t forget just few days ago everyone picked wilder to brutally finish bodybuilder and a day later poor deontay is old and shot .

Manu was good for a flashy 15 ppg. He was the Deontay Wilder of SGs.

    LOL

19.5 ppg during his prime season .
Deontay on the other hand in his prime scored 3 L’s against featherfisted , glass jawed Fury .
Deontay is more like Kwame Brown or Kendrick Perkins .

Regardless of what anyone says (and this thread being a massive bait) - Wilder has most importantly achieved what he set out to do, support his daughter. I commend him for that and hope he can enjoy his life now away from the ring.

Wow... exactly one prime season. Wilder had exactly one prime fight against Stiverne.

These two have a lot in common the more I think about it.

Manu had like 6-7 seasons when he averaged between 16-19ppg , so he is more like Joshua .
    Windmill is Kendrick .

    Right here we go

    Wilder:
    Stiverne (ranked number 3)
    Molina (unranked)
Duahapas (would become ranked top 10)
    Szpilka (unranked)
    Arreola (unranked)
    Washington (unranked)
    Ortiz (ranked number 3)
    Brezeale (ranked top 10)
    Helenius (unranked)

I mean that's it isn't it. He's knocked out 4 world level opponents. He's lost 4 times to the best two fighters he's faced.

I don't see him getting in the HOF. He entertained us, and he held onto his belt for a long time, but I don't think it will be enough tbh.
