Discredit, hardly, more just putting things in perspective. I think his resume is similar to Vitali and I think he is in the same band, a very good but limited heavyweight. I just detest the idea guys can beat nobody really of note and be considered among greats like Wlad and Lewis. This isn’t just a point against Wilder, it’s AJ, Fury, a lot of these modern guys. Why Judas? I’m confused by this, does it make me a Judas because my opinion differs from yours?
Jesus was King like Wilder. Judas was his disciple then stabbed him in the back. You call yourself KINGWILDER but do everything to drag him trough the mud. After years of giving you entertainment. You do a lot of double dipping it seems to me. However the wind blows.
It seems to me my opinion has upset you, this is merely a boxing forum, there’s no need for this. As I have highlighted, I am not dragging him ‘through the mud’. I like Wilder and I’m glad he seems to have found peace with himself. However that does not mean we can’t critique his career, same as with AJ, Fury, and Usyk (all of whom I have to been critical of). If you can’t handle the criticism of your favourite fighter, well people will always be critical even if greats like Ali. Using biblical comparisons is hardly disputing my arguments, in fact it’s strengthening my early points that some of the Wilder and Fury fans have been following a blind agenda.
Not a very informed or rational response, maybe take a second before responding next time, you’ll feel better about it.
On what planet does he make the hall of fame?! He never unified, he never reclaimed the title, he was never lineal. His title defense selection was abysmal - Molina, Szpilka, Washington, Duhaupas, the corpse of Arreola, etc and so forth. He couldn’t even manage 1 win in his trilogy showdown with Fury. Now he got thumped by Parker in a fight that he was clearly supposed to win to get another big time match with Joshua. He’s not even close to Sven Ottke level and he isn’t in. He went 22-0 in world title fights and unified. He’s been retired 20 years and still waiting. Only people want to include Wilder are desperate fan boys. Based on merit he should never get in.
Off course. This HOF membership is not for 10 best boxers. There is many ppl in there. I dont like Wilder. I always was his critics (not always but often) but lets be real. Guy in some aspects is just phenomen. Power he can create is historical. He got historical wars with Fury. He was champion on higher level than this all dudes catching belts by coacident like Martin. For sure there is place for him in HOF but not yet.
No he's not, but he'll probably make it in. It isn't like the HOF has particularly high standards these days.
If Wilder were Russian or French he would probably never be in the HOF. Since he's American, that should do it.
