Zhilei Zhang calling out Anthony Joshua

I am fairly sure that line will be turned into "he's a fat 41-year old" if Joshua beats him. Just like how Wallin was a live threat a few days ago but now was tailor made for AJ.

Very good match-up, though. Could be one where both guys hits the canvas. I'd go for Joshua, but wouldn't be surprised if Zhang finds the KO.

 

Zhang is far too slow and easy too hit for the best HW combination puncher. AJ too quick and stops Zhang in the early or middle rounds.

 

Some AJ fans really are a bit too high right now.

First of all, Wallin proved he hasnt elite chin or punch resistance. He has a similar fragile skin and fragile bones like Tom Schwarz. If they get hit properly, they look bruised and bloody very fast.

Only because AJ was able to TKO (ret) Wallin after 5 rounds, its really ridicolous some AJ fans honestly think this means AJ will stop Zhang "in the early rounds".

Hrgovic and Joyce arent ***** punchers, yet both failed to hurt Zhang even if they hit him with good shots.

Sure AJ can beat ZZ, but ZZ isnt the same fragile guy he was over 10 years ago when they fought in the Olympics. ZZ became much tougher and better.

 

Unfortunately, AJ doesn't need Zhang as much as Zhang needs AJ.

If the 2 meet, Zhang will be 41 or older by then so for me, there is only 1 winner and that's Joshua.
It's alright saying don't be getting hyped about Joshua for dominating Wallin.
Well, don't be getting hyped for Zhang beating Joyce who's completely finished and looked like a Mummy in their 2 fights.

Pretty much this, but i think AJ will just outpoint him, as there is no sense to go into exchange with Zhang.
Zhang cardio isn't great, it's not as bad as people trying to make it, but it isn't great.
AJ will just play it safe and win comfortably on the scorecards if he is smart.
If he goes for a KO win, anything can really happen, and to be fair if Zhang connect it's going to be night night, as Joyce chin was something else.
It's a great fight and i think they will fight, but won't be next. I'm almost 1000% certain AJ will wait for the IBF to be vacant and fight Hrgovic for it.
Hrgovic fight is a great one as well.

 

Sad Zhang had his most impressive showings this late in age. They will all wait to age him out as he's viewed as high risk low reward from a $$$ standpoint.

 

I think it would be a good fight. Better than many think. Zhang is durable and game.

The fight won't happen though. Joshua is going to go back to feasting on fighters he can look good against.

 

To wait and then fight Hgrovic for the IBF title is the smart move tbf.

 

Zhang should take whatever money fight comes his way. It will probably be 2025 before he gets his title shot. He's gonna be 42 next year. He has stamina for 4 or 5 rounds. That's the #1 reason he didn't beat Hrgovic.
