In truth we don't really know due to his level of opposition.

Wilder is one of the hardest ever hitters against jobbers who stand in front of him with their chins in the air. he probably gets a really high score on those arcade punching machines

ask him to throw anything other than dat right hand, or punch backing up, or with any kind of set up or feint, and it’s a different story

I believe his punching powers has always been overrated.

I think he's an ATG puncher, but some were saying he was the hardest puncher of all-time, and I can't buy that.

He faced a lot of lesser fighters and this resulted in more KOs than if he had been fighting better opposition.

I see him as being a puncher of the calibre of Ernie Shavers, George Foreman, Wlad Klitschko, Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis...So well inside the top ten HW punchers of the past thirty or forty years.

He lacked the skills of all of those named and also the chin.

When you look a the various lists of top ATG, skills are more important. And chin is more important than power.

At this point, Wilder does not make my top ten ATG list.

But, like Tyson, he sure was exciting to Watch.

Read what Vladimir K had to say about Wilders power.

    Wilders power is legit.

He just a little older, slower and not as sharp now and never really landed a perfect, solid shot.

Credit to Parker for fighting in such a way as to take that away from Wilder.

I'm a bit confused...he barely laid a glove on Parker who has a legit chin either way so how would we know. DW's power was probably a bit overated but he clearly hits very hard. Wlad and Foreman failed to KO Jennings and Morrison for example.

That was old Wlad who failed to KO Jennings.

Power is the last thing to go

Even aj still called Klitschko the hardest hitter he fought

People on this board are so dumb. Wilder is 38, his athleticism isnt there any longer.
By the same logic you guys bring up, I could say that muhammed ali had bad stamina, was slow and had a bad chine

If anybody actually paid attention to the fight Parker was rocked a few times by Wilder's punches even when it barely connected around his head, his power was there but Parker wasn't stupid enough to keep his head still. Wilder looked the same as he always did, his hand speed was still there and there was one cross that he threw with blistering speed that barely missed Parker's head which would have knocked him out cold. Wilder's timing was slightly off because of the lack of rounds the past two years but even if he wasn't inactive Parker would have still beat him.

Duhuapas was called up last minute against Povetkin and was out of shape. Also Wilder took 9 rounds to stop Molina while Arreola and Jordan laid him out in 1 round - it doesn’t mean one guy hits harder than the other. Wilder is a murderous puncher and has hall of fame worthy power.
