Many fighters take tune up fights to help them settle into the weight when they move up. Droopy Eye Licky Lip Dre wouldn't go anywhere near Kovalev or the top 3 when he moved up to 175 even though he had home advantage and he knew he'd have his home ref and judges too. He took three tune ups (Paul Smith, Alexander Brand and Sullivan Barrera) and a whole year to acclimatize to the weight even though he was already about the same size as Kovalev.

Inoue took out the two top guys back to back in his first two fights at the weight

Because he is road warrior and was underdog, who beat a lot of bigger guys.

Can you imagine how hard it is to fight for a belt in your opponents hometown and beat them one by one ? It's not like you are in Japan, fighting in your home, when all the pressure is on the opponent and you are 1/6 favorite in every fight and you still fail to be impressive like Usyk in AJ fight.

Nah dawg don't you know? Inoue needs to breathe in his foes' general direction and they should explode; this is the only mark of a special fighter.

That's nothing against Inoue because Japan is where the money is & its not in Inoue's hands to change that. He still fought 4 times outside Japan (3 in US & 1 in Scotland) & will likely fight Nery in US next year, more than most Americans including one's who demand it of Inoue like Mayweather who never fought outside the US. Anyway hardly any of Inoue's fights to go to a decision so even if he fought outside Japan the judges won't be able to rob him

I am sure Usyk would prefer to have fights in Ukraine too, who wouldn't? its a credit to him that he is able to overcome challenges imposed on him by the circumstances of his home country

Inoue had killing in his mind, not a boring 12-0 decision.

He lost 1-2 tbf. Major takeaway is tapales made him eat some leather, not as much as donaire did, and outbox him at spots

Usyk is very very special but we at The Holy Church of Usyk have been telling you that forever

The amount of legit bangers and murderous punchers he's fought, the vast majority of them world champions and skilled, in their backyards, and the massive physical disadvantages he's giving away at HW against murderous punchers with skills in AJ and Dubois, is crazy, even more so given his age and the fact he's been on the decline for years.

    But Inoue is special too

I have him beating everyone from 122-168 sans Loma who is still too slick even though he's well past his best

Inoue KO's Clenelo, David Benavidez, and Morrell and I'm willing to take a permaban bet on that with anyone if those match ups ever come to fruition. Beterbiev and Bivol are a step too far for Inoue though.

Oh.... so now you're a fanboy of Usyk? You were singing a different tune, oh... the last few years. So now you're acting like a kooky casual dimwit and being a hypocrite too.

But... but... but... I'm not being a hater!!! **** off. I'm tired of arguing with a contrarian who shits on anyone near the top of people's P4P rankings. If they're not the best, who the **** are in your estimation?
