Have no idea what the origins of that were or if they was any truth to the rumors, but I definitely remember reading/hearing about Cus possibly being gay and his marriage being one of convenience long before the internet was here to spread such things.

What I am referring to as B.S is that Cus would sleep with boys in the same bed. I have never heard of any accusation. Being called gay back then meant you had haters and Cus had a lot of haters. But in the bed with boys, I have never heard of that.

 

That Don King and/or Bob Arum had something to do with the legal issues that Harold Smith was charged with and convicted of.
