All that and he'll also be giving the induction speech when Johann Duhaupas enters the Pastry Chef HoF. What a career!

Number of title defences is meaningless Sven Ottke had more defences and was a unified champion to boot something Wilder never did but Ottke isn't in the HOF.

His KO record is against sub par opposition, so again shouldn't be enough alone to get him inducted.

Him being the most significant American heavyweight of the era shouldn't be a factor but it might indeed win him some votes.

But it wouldn't shock me if Wilder was inducted at some point, the trilogy with Fury was a major event in this era of boxing and that might be enough for some to vote for him, but he won't be a first ballot entry that's for sure.

Considering the quality of the era and with the Parker loss you have to question if he was ever even a top 5 heavyweight, he shouldn't really get in but then there's plenty of fighters that have been inducted who shouldn't have. Maybe if he retires at the right time and there's not much competition that year he could garner enough votes. But I wouldn't guarantee him entry into the HOF based off his accomplishments.

The heck do they have to do with Tyson fury and wilder? Do they not count for what?
What rounds did wilder win besides the two where he knocked down fury?

Wilder has one good win its Luis Ortiz.
    Stiverne was rubbish.

IF wilder had a win over Ruiz, Povetkin or Parker than id say well done.

I got a question if Wilder is worthy (lol he’s not), does Joseph Parker get in? He beat Wilder actually dominated him 12-0 or 11-1 on most cards and he already defeated, undefeated Andy Ruiz that would go on to win the unified championship? Some could argue his resume is already better than Wilders. He’s clearly faced tougher completion. And at 31 has a lot of time left, Or does Wilder receive extra credit for beating the murderer’s row of Molina, Szpilka, Washington, Duhaupas, 110 year old Arreola and so forth. Real legend material.

Which knock down are you talking about? And what about fury’s condition coming into the fight?

Letting Wilder into the Hall of Fame is rewarding and absolute con. Using the Fury draw as justification to be included in the HOF is also rewarding boxing corruption since Fat Fury basically won 10 rounds to 2.

People where waiting along time for Wilder to step up and get exposed... now that he has i don't want to see his delusional fanbase to keep on mythologizing what was one of the biggest con's, biggest cowards, biggest liars, and one of the biggest stain's on boxing's reputation.

Let his reputation lay where it belongs... in the gutter...

PS We all told you so now take the L and move on fanboi.

    Course he will get in

It means nothing to most fans though as it's about as legit as WWE hall of fame these days

Actually the heavyweight division is pretty strict on admittance compared to the rest of the sport. That’s why a Wilder inclusion would be so egregious. If he crashes the gates it will truly be an Olympus has fallen moment. Hopefully some voters view this site and become the pretorian guard to integrity.

I can see arguments for and against - I’m on the fence. On one hand, I think Wilder has achieved more/similar amounts to other fights in the hall of fame. On the other hand, his resume is not the strongest and most of his defences were against c/d level journeymen. His defences against Ortiz and Fury make his reign more historical. However he lost all his fights against top ten guys who were in their primes.

The one thing that cannot be denied is Wilder has been immensely entertaining, both inside and outside the ring. I don’t think he stacks up well against the past greats, but neither do a lot of guys. I’m just glad he helped give us an epic trilogy with Fury.
