Kabayel is good, quality skills and tough but Makh looked like a novice after being hurt. No HW should be getting dropped like that from body shots, also what experienced fighter keeps swinging like a prat when theyre getting their innards liquidized.

Makhmudov is a dummy. More so than he looks.

Not disputing that but Agit is a really good fighter and those were nasty body shots. Not just one but a whole bunch right in the same spot. Most HWs don't go to the body like that. That Kurdish German slickness ain't no joke. I'm pulling for Agit to go all the way to the top.

Makhmudov got up after the body shots, they hurt him and he was going to succumb to them later. But it was hardly a complete 1 body shot KO crippler, he was stopped because he couldnt defend himself. Top fighters generally can defend themselves unless they have taken some serious brain busting shots.
Makhmudov is very bad, and i hyped him.

They dont go the body like that unless they have zero fear of what might come back, Kabayel obviously thought Makhmudov was absolutely rubbish. Lol

    David price vibes...

As for Kabayel, ive seen him be hit alot againat that croatian fella, so aslong as he doesnt go back to that he could go far.

No I just think he realized he hurt him good with that first big left downstairs in round 3 and he pounced on him and stayed with the body attack. There's no reason to have zero fear of what's coming back from Mak because for all his faults his power is nasty.

Granted he lost his composure and started swinging wildly after being hurt which made it easier for Agit but the later was a terrible style match up for him when you think about it. Really good feet and movement, slick, tough, fast hands and good power and punch variety.

Kabayel looks good to beat many ranked opponents, never has he looked that good. But i must say ive never seen that sort of stoppage on a HW, especially one so big. Its usually reserved for the lighter weights, on lean, ripped and exposed ribs and livers.

He looked super slick vs Chisora. I was really impressed with his skills and slickness in that fight. This was a massive opportunity for him, and one he's been waiting for for years, and he rose to the occasion. Lot's of HWs would've taken their time after hurting such a dangerous puncher as Mak but he really went for it and wanted to make a big statement and take him out early all of which he did.

Dave Allen said he's spoken to a lot of people who have been in camp with Agit and he said they all speak very highly of him.

Yesteryear Delboy is a good yardstick of a fighter going from European level to Contender level. I wonder who Kabayel would want next, and who would want him.

Wasnt Kabayel the lad who gave joshua concussion.

Yes. No idea but the fact he fought on that card means the Saudis hopefully will be able to match him up with someone highly rated and well thought of.

I don't think I heard that if it was him and if I have I've forgotten about it

Makhmudov's performance was sooooo bad he's not a serious opponent at this stage, he needs someone with the movement of a heavy bag to win and if the bag is swinging I give it a shot at an upset. I know fighters can lay an egg every once in a while but he looked like this was his pro debut and he wasn't aggressive at all. I thought Kabayel looked extremely leery of Makhmudov in the opening round but as the fight progressed you could see the confidence grow and he seemed to realize this guy ain't got nothing. Where does Makhmudov go from here? At 34 he's not going to develop boxing skills so I guess they put him in with overmatched fighters and hope for a fight for some big money later. If he strings together 5 or 6 wins over the next 2 or 3 years he might get a shot at something after the 4 belts are dispersed with Fury and likely Usyk retired.

I really liked what I saw from Kabayal. Mak's a big slow lump so I expected AK to run all night, but he mixed it up inside and jumped on him once he had him hurt. His clear win over a near prime Chisora is enough to put him in the top 10 considering Parker and Whyte struggled with Derek.

Yes. He seems like a good guy too.

Yeah, I knew he was going to box him because he pretty much admitted as much in a pre-fight interview and obviously he can box really well. But it was impressive how he boxed and moved and then stood his ground and attacked Mak and as soon as he realized he could hurt him he went for the kill soon after

I forgot that Mak was so highly ranked by three of the sanctioning orgs so Agit should take his place

    WBC #3
    WBA #4
    IBF #7

Not if Fury or Usyk or AJ are champs.
