I think he has a roughly 30% chance to catch Beterbiev and KO him. But most likely he'll wilt under Beterbiev's pressure.

I don't think Callum fights to his natural physical advantages enough - Artur hits that torso on way to savage KO IMO

Would be massively surprised if Callum got any more change than Joe Smith

20% chance, hes a good puncher and beterbiev passing prime.

Beterbiev stopping Smith is a good performance, Smith is big and hasnt shown any chin problems. If Smith shells up and just looks for one shot, hes done for.

Remember though Smith was beaten by pressure in Ryder and Canelo, only one credited the W.

I've never rated Smith that highly, he doesn't utilise his size and reach and doesn't counter punch preferring to lead and that's not a good idea vs Beterbiev. Beterbiev probably catches him with a counter while throwing and KO's him in a one side fight.

Beterbiev is nearly 40, so anything is possible. Smith can punch very hard.

That being said, I think Beterbiev will win once again.

Hard to look like past a Beterbiev stoppage win, Smith who struggled with Ryder and Canelo as mentioned is going to be right up against it in a fight with a genuine monster like Beterbiev .

Only thing I'll say about the Canelo fight is Canelo essentially cheated by giving Smith a last second offer to fight him and forcing him into a shorter training camp in an effort to weaken him and make him less effective.

I genuinely fancy Smith in the upset here, although it will likely go the way of the Callum Johnson fight where he had his moments but Beterbiev ground him down. People have mentioned Smith struggled vs Ryder and Canelo, however Beterbiev is far more upright and easy to hit; I think Smith's compact counter punching will give Beterbiev real problems.

Smith has a chance and it's all in his left hook IMO.

That said, as soon as he gets hit his gameplan will go out of the window.

This is how it will go:

Smith take centre ring and will fight out of that awkward stance he has looking to land combos and that right hand. Beterbiev will circle him and constantly reset him trying to find an opening.
Beterbiev will open him up and land a counter on an opening.
Smith will get hurt and rush forward trying to get some respect back. Beterbiev club him while Smith is coming in and rushing. Smith goes down.

    Bell rings.

Smith is still on shaky legs and hesistant,

    Beterbiev closes the show.

    Pick your round.

I pick within 5 for Beterbiev TKO.

...Smith knew he would be fighting Canelo and was in training camp throughout 2020.

He just got the contract late so had to take off excess weight quickly.

He should have stayed close to fighting weight throughout the year and remained disciplined.

Read all press articles about Canelo in 2020 and Callum Smith was the front runner to face Canelo. Infact, it was all that Joe Gallagher and Callum Smith talked about in 2019 and 2020.

His own fault for showing up without a plan and half prepared.

Probably- unless Beterbiev suddenly can't pull the trigger due to father time. It's going to happen, just a matter of which fight.

The Smith i watched against Canelo gets totally wiped out by Beterbiev. Going for round 5

It’s a stylistic nightmare for Smith, but I feel like he has some dangerous power at lhw. Add in the fact that Beterbiev is regressing, he has a solid 20% chance for me.

    I think Better
I see it similar. Smith has a punch and Beterbiev is getting older though so a loss is bound to happen to him at some point, but I don't think Smith is going to be that guy.
